  1. "Very easily"? 4 perhaps. 5 where? You're talking like V-Mart's a defensive wiz behind the plate. Everyone knows he's destined to leave the C position. No one will give him a 5 year contract earning elite catcher money to play 3 years behind the plate and 2 at 1B. The precedent is common sense.
  2. AAV. More money, less time and he might just take it.
  3. I don't think they'll go more than 3 years.
  4. God does not like Star Trek.
  5. This is your argument? Really? Mailing it in? Wow.
  6. Both Toronto and Baltimore were good offensive teams. What you need to know about the other team for a pitcher is how much they hit, and neither Toronto nor Baltimore were Seattle or Kansas. In fact, Toronto was 8th in the Major Leagues in runs scored, Baltimore a middle of the road 17th, but you make them sound like they were s***** offensive teams to support your argument. Stick to the facts.
  7. But not what you wrote.
  8. For one, V-Mart had an .861 OPS last season, even at first base, that's valuable, add to that the ability to catch even if on a limited basis, and i have no idea how you can say he "loses his value" if moved to first, that's one of the dumbest things i have ever, ever heard, and i don't mean to insult you but Jesus Christ. Second, you use the term "young catcher of the future" pretty loosely. There really aren't that many options *Cough* Joe Mauer *Cough*.
  9. This is true. Good point, that means with some pressure he could probably hit any FO's intended weight for him.
  10. You never check the stats and talk as you if you know them. THAT is lying. I made one mistake confusing PA's with AB's and that's all you have to go on. Who lacks credibility here?
  11. He's not a homer. He's one of Scott Boras' mouthpieces. Completely different things.
  12. A) No one has mentioned his age as a problem. His weight is a problem now and will likely continue to be so. B ) No one has said they wouldn't want Cabrera on the team, but the fact is this FO dislikes divas, and Miguel Cabrera is a diva. One would hope they come to the conclusion that since he's so young, they might still be able to get him to behave like a model citizen and decide to bring him to the Sox.
  13. I didn't know 26 was the new 30.
  14. :lol::lol:
  15. Everyone would want Cabrera hitting 4th here. The question is, would it get done?
  16. :lol::lol::lol::lol:
  17. Half as many innings is exactly my point. Ellsbury's real problem is the depth in which he's been playing. When Gardner plays an entire season's games worth of CF, come back to me.
