  1. *Sigh* Not winning WS consistently, because no one has done that this decade. If they could stop s***ing the bed awarding bad contracts (See: Perez, Oliver), and making stupid trades (See:Kazmir, Scott) they could set themselves up to put a more competitive product on the field that's more appealing to New Yorkers. Sort of like the 2006 team.
  2. The Cubs committed $210 million to their team prior to 2007. That is not a debatable argument.
  3. I've checked his stats, and he's probably perfectly capable of putting up an .800 OPS in the AL East. But what about, as you say, age-related decline and health?
  4. Fair enough, you are absolutely right.
  5. I have two gripes with that: 1) Johnsonn would tie up a DH spot the Yanks should try to keep as flexible as possible. 2) Cameron doesn't convince me as an everyday player anymore. At all.
  6. Jackson + for a platoon player? Thanks but no thanks.
  7. The fact that i contend that the 2007 championship was not bought because the Sox did not spend triple the money than the second closest spender is a legit one. In fact, i'll go ahead and tackle 2004 shortly.
  8. The quote function is so handy for calling people out on their ********.
  9. I'd love for you to try. "Framing pitches". "Can't hit inside fastballs", "Robertson missed down in the zone and Hughes missed up (with 96+ heat".) Please, take your best shot.
  10. The foundation for that trade was probably created long before the trigger was pulled. But whatever.
  11. I was arguing a point made by 26 to 6 in another thread. Read please. This is what has been said all along. Your stupidity is not even funny anymore.
  12. The posting fee goes into the payroll? News to me, because it doesn't.
  13. Again, Gom talking about making s*** up. Downright hilarious. If you checked your stats or posted sources, you wouldn't be called out on your ******** 80% of the time. Some friendly advice.
  14. You talk about others making s*** up, yet run your mouth about things you know nothing about. Who's at the bottom of the barrel in credibility again? Check the stats before making an argument or STFU.
  15. Gom talking about making s*** up. I should use that in my sig.
  16. :lol::lol::lol:
  17. I'm keeping this little post hidden away somewhere in case that happens.
  18. I overlooked that. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. And, yes he did. Lol funny stuff.
  19. This is what you said in the first place. They only "really wanted Santana" if he was going to the Sox. The Yanks submitted several packages to the Twins just like the Sox did. Smith got greedy, both packages were removed, enter the Mets. How "solid prospect package" can translate to "only if the Red Sox were going to get him" is beyond me.
