  1. That is a completely laughable statement and it made my afternoon.
  2. "Propaganda?" Ok buddy.
  3. The fact that you're thinking about something like that clears some things up. If he doesn't sign a SS, Lowrie will not start, and Iglesias will not be in the ML roster.
  4. I know what it means, but it's not going to happen, and there's no indication to the contrary. This makes about as much sense as a donkey riding a chihuahua while smoking a joint and singing a song in German.
  5. You don't like women?
  6. Your hypothesis has no logical grounds. There are plenty of free agent SS. No reason for Lowrie to start the year as the team's SS. Under what circumstances do you assume Epstein does not sign a SS, because what you're saying simply makes no sense.
  7. Jed Lowrie is going to start the season at AAA. This came right out of the mouth of Theo Epstein, you know, the Sox' Gm, that means they're signing someone to play SS, therefore, your assumption that Lowrie might start the season as the team's SS is a fabrication, AKA, made up stuff. Where are the baseball examples? Basketball and baseball are nowhere near the same. Again, players need a developmental period, the fact that "you don't think" he needs a full year of minor league action means absolutely nothing because you don't know anything about player development, and even if you did, you've barely seen the kid play to come up with such "accurate" assessments of what should be his ETA.
  8. He can hit, that's the main point. Downplaying how bad he really is defensively is intellectually dishonest. Sign the guy and ready the DH spot after Papi leaves.
  9. Lowrie.Is.Going.To.AAA. Lowrie.Is.Going.To.AAA. A) You're making this up. B ) If you know nothing about the developmental process of a baseball player, then stop talking like you know anything about it. Players may skip levels, but they need preparation in the Minors. I wonder why can't miss prospects like Evan Longoria and Chase Utley even saw time in the Minors then if you can be ready outright, oh wait, it's because the organizations they play for actually know what they're doing. Jesus Christ.
  10. 1) Lowrie is not going to start for this team or even be the backup, that has already been announced. 2)Iglesias is not making the ML roster out of Spring Training. That would be the stupidest decision ever by this FO. 3)The mere fact that you imply that you would "like to have him on the ML roster" means you understand absolutely nothing about the developmental process of a player, so i suggest you leave the subject alone.
  11. The fact that he's on the 40-man roster has nothing to do with whether he does or doesn't end up reaching the Majors next year. Stick to the facts.
  12. What about the other 81 games? Listen, no one here is against the Sox signing Bay, but the fact is his defense is horrible and it's not going to get better.
  13. The only one who's making that consideration is you, champ.
  14. Plus the fact that his lifetime OPS against AL pitching is .880.
  15. In this instance, i believe captain optimism is right about the defense side of things, however, offensively, upon further research, which he didn't take the time to do, you'll notice that Lowell's home/away splits vary from year to year, so you could call this a part of the trend. Since 2006, Lowell's home/away splits (OPS-wise): 2006: 763/866 2007: 993/767 2008: 766/823 2009: 932/713 Notice the trend anyone?
  16. Please just be anyone that can f***ing hit cleanup. Jesus Christ.
  17. :lol::lol:
  18. They should sign John Mcdonald. That would get the ball rolling.
  19. People who disagree with my opinions can be right if they actually know the context or have a finished idea of what they're talking about. You jumped on the conversation of E1 and took it out of context because you didn't take the time to find out what he actually meant. All downhill from there.
