  1. He also says this is going to be Bucholz's 3rd year in the Majors, when he didn't even lose rookie status in 2008. Hilarious.
  2. So Lester's illness gets mentioned, but not the fact that f***ing with Buch's mechanics making him lose absolutely all command of his fastball doesn't get mentioned? You probably didn't know that, because you don't know jack s*** about Buch. 2008 was a lost year indeed, but you can blame the FO for that. Also, going into the 4th year? Laughable. Cup of coffee in 2007.
  3. Well, chief, if you actually clarify your argument, (even though this is an obvious save-face attempt) there would be no attributing to be done.......champ. So now Bucholz has appeared to turn a corner and we shouldn't trade him for Halladay? Well, i rest my case on my prior post.
  4. Production over projection, huh? Jon Lester, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, Robinson Cano, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jonathan Papelbon, among others. All of them had a projection that became a reality. No one here can convince you to be high on any MiLB player, because of two things: A) You don't analyze, you simply take stats and use them as a background for your opinions. B ) You, self-admittedly, know very little about prospects and their development.
  5. You just DEFENDED the fact that other pitchers have been able to be effective in the AL East through the later part of the '30's, so either you're defending giving Halladay a s***-ton of money through the latter part of his career, or you're just talking for the sake of talking. Your "you don't know with pitchers" argument is a pretty miserable save-face attempt. It's hilarious how now you say you didn't advocate for trading Bucholz for Halladay, that's an outright lie.
  6. Go to the "All that is Halladay" thread. You'll be surprised.
  7. Mike Mussina's age 33 to age 38 seasons: 33: 4.05 ERA, 215.2 IP. 34: 3.40 ERA, 214.2 IP 35: 4.59 ERA, 164.2 IP 36:4.41 ERA, 179.2 IP 37:3.51 ERA, 197.1 IP 38:5.15 ERA, 152.0 IP Which of those seasons you think Mussina was worth 20+ per? I know Halladay's a superior pitcher, but the point is, if you think Halladay's going to last the next 6 years healthy and dominant, you've got another thing coming.
  8. Take away Joba's numbers in the bullpen then get back to us. Besides that, health is something teams look for in a pitcher, CLAY DESTROYS JOBA IN THAT ASPECT.
  9. That's my point. Not only is it just a report, but would we be able to actually strike a deal with Halladay? What if he wants more than 5 years? What if he wants more than 20 per? Someone here suggested that giving Halladay 6 years at 20 per would be a good deal, but i say f*** that, because he's not going to be worth 20 million at age 36, and certainly not at age 37. Age catches up with everyone, specially if you're a SP in the AL East.
  10. It's faster than the free Wi-Fi signal you get on your taxi.
  11. Gems like this is what you get for agreeing with Gom, Kilo. And with that in mind, good night everyone.
  12. The butthurt because i said i hadn't read it before is both hilarious and ridiculous. If you took the time to post with sources in the first place, i wouldn't have to question you. Now go away and let the people who post with credible sources on hand talk.
  13. Nobody's claiming he's going to pan out like you claim to know Halladay's medical status. What is being claimed however, is that 5 years of Buch are more valuable than one year of Halladay. If a negotiation window is indeed awarded (a Gom exclusive, i haven't read that anywhere else) then the game changes completely.
  14. Crashing and burning at alarming speeds.
  15. Well if shock value is what he was going for, he certainly managed it.
  16. I give up then. Read my above post, look up the stats, and do some reading on the kids' repertoire. You might find your answer there.
