  1. Beltre hit 48 once. They might have both been aided by the same brand of milkshakes......
  2. With Swisher, what will likely happen is an "evening out" of his home/road splits.
  3. One look at Beltre's home/road splits and one look at Fenway's effect on right handed flyball hitters, as well as another look at Beltre's and Lowell's career stats, and logic keeps hitting me with its hammer telling me there will be no "significant dropoff" going from one to the other no matter what some biased Yankee fans might want me to believe.
  4. That's about the size of it. No one said he's not a concern, but Jacko's making it seem bigger than it really is (the norm).
  5. So let me get this straight. He has an injury, which leads to faulty mechanics, which leads to shoulder fatigue, which leads to a strengthening program, which leads to Dice-K coming back with his regular velocity and looking good downthe stretch, but he has a bum shoulder? Lol ok.
  6. Really? Adrian Beltre had a 109 OPS+ in 2008, while Lowell had a 106 OPS+ in 2009. You refuse to use the proper statistic or put things into context when it doesn't suit your argument, it's downright pathetic. A simple google search reveals that Beltre had shoulder surgery in the final days of June. Please stop making s*** up.
  7. Yes, because a minor leg injury is obviously the same as a bum shoulder, doctor. I should go to med school in the US, they'll let anyone in.
  8. Remember mid-season when he was whining about "Not liking the program laid out by the team?" He never followed number two.
  9. All he has to do. He can forget about culture, all he needs is to get outs.
  10. Well i think that aspect is covered by "Do what the team tells you" but i can see where you're coming from. Not only is he a prima-donna, he's a stubborn one at that.
  11. When he's healthy, he does. Which is exactly what he'll be if he follows step 1-3 of the Dipre "Effective-pitcher" program.
  12. He won't, but they already reported long ago that he tested positive in '03. Report: Sosa tested positive in 2003
  13. Dice-K's obligations for 2010 are rather simple in my opinion: 1) Get fat ass in shape. 2) STFU. 3) Do what the team tells you. 4) Pitch. That is all.
  14. MDC is just as dumb, if not dumber, than Dice-K.
  15. 100% this. People rag on Drew when he sits out a couple games if something doesn't feel right, so i expect them to rag on Matsuzaka for being an idiot and costing himself the season, because this was obviously the precursor to all the problems he endured last year.
  16. Either Selig is an idiot, or he really thinks everyone else is an idiot.
  17. He'll get in easy next year. And i hope Larkin does as well.
  18. But the stats say otherwise. Agree to disagree then.
  19. Two lefties back-to-back then three righties back-to-back would be an opposing manager's dream.
