The Sox were doing their due dilligence at my Sunday Softball game. I think i could be the second lefty out of the 'pen, but i need more time to work on my slider.

Youkilis' approach allows him to maximize his offensive potential. Reddick's approach diminishes his productivity. It's not about Reddick's power, it's about his approach at the plate. He can make strides there, and he can reach a whole other level. On a side note, who's compared Reddick to Francoeur?

Fair enough. Altering an offensive approach is difficult, but not impossible, so if they can help him stop being a hacker, then he could reach a whole other level and eliminate any platoon issues he may have along the way. But as long as he's a hacker, there will be doubters.

Needs to find the big D: D-i-s-c-i-p-l-i-n-e. Leads the team with 26 AB's, but has taken less pitches than David Ortiz, Jacoby Ellsbury and Bill Hall, who are the next three on the AB list and have taken four, four and seven PA's, respectively. Has drawn a walk though.

Ok Jacko. There was obviously zero intent to take a shot there. Just your honest, unbiased thoughts. Anyways, i'd forgotten to ask, but did anyone catch Lowell playing 1B? I couldn't see the game, and would like to know how he looked.

*sigh* Back on topic: Interestingly enough, Scott Atchison tossed another scoreless inning today. His story is an interesting one, since he came back to pitch to the states because of a disease that affects his daughter. Varitek actually got a hit off a RHP. The things ya see in ST.....
