  1. Pedroia is the f***ing man.
  2. Kind of weird that Kilo and I had a debate about the merits of LaRoche versus Kotchman in the Anti Fantasy Draft Discussion Thread...
  3. How were my arguments not valid? Thomas is the only player who voluntarily spoke with George Mitchell. He did this, knowing full well the Union would disapprove. His head size has always been the same. He's been outspoken on the issue for a long, long time. IMO, nothing I said in that thread was unwarranted. What I said was harsh, but hardly unwarranted. "One fail among many" implies I am a dumbass. It also seems like you've been harboring a grudge against me for awhile. You saw your opportunity to swoop in and you didn't hesitate. Gary Glitter was a pedophile. Michael Jackson was, in all likelihood, also a pedophile. Why would anyone, in good conscience, defend what Jacko did to those children? Mitigating circumstances because he was abused by his father as a child? Or because he was the biggest pop star of all time? Doesn't hold much water for me.
  4. That wasn't my only reaction. I made coherent arguments. They all went through one ear and out the other.
  5. I really don't see how I'm a trolling dipshit. Whatever. I've never liked you, JE. I've always been polite to you, even though you've consistently been an ass towards me. I seem to remember you saying not so long ago in a thread about me, "Epic fail. Among many." Or something along those lines. I ignored it then. I'm not ignoring it now. You can go f*** yourself, sir.
  6. That was the strike-shortened season. Chances are he would've regressed some had it been a full season. Again, you have no evidence to support your claim. There have been no whispers about Thomas. It must be a bitter pill to swallow that Big Papi is a phony, but don't project that onto other players who may or may not have juiced.
  7. He might've juiced his rookie year. That was the year before Canseco's 40/40 season.
  8. Agreed, when you've been caught with pants down the last thing you should do is say, "It's not what it looks like."
  9. Unlike Ortiz, Thomas was always a great player. He has always denounced steroids and called for testing (as far back as 2002, I believe). He chose to speak with George Mitchell about steroid use in MLB, one of two players to do so. "For me, I’ve always been my own man. No one’s going to tell me not to talk to anyone, especially when I’ve got nothing to hide. … "There were a lot of guys who wanted to speak out," Thomas said. "I’m glad I did speak out, because if I didn’t I would’ve been on that list of 'Wouldn’t talk to George Mitchell.' That would’ve put a stain on my career and I’m not going to let anyone stain my career." … "It’s obvious now that there were a lot of guys involved with steroids and HGH. I’m shocked, because I played in that era and had to compete against it. But I’m shocked there were so many guys involved."
  10. f*** Ortiz. Still giving us the aww shucks routine. Own up to it and be a man. He knows damn well what he put into his bloated body.
  11. I would also be surprised if Frank Thomas juiced. But not because his numbers didn't fluctuate. That's a ******** argument. Look at A-Rod.
  12. The Yankees must be proud to have classy fans like you.
  13. It's good for both teams. Sanchez will help the Giants make their playoff push, which is why they got him. Alderson has a chance to be a decent pitcher down the road. But that's at least 2 or 3 years away. And IMO no pitching prospect is a sure thing. It's probably a slightly better deal for the Giants because they're getting a proven player.
  14. Can't be surprised by anyone anymore. If players would come out and fess up before their names were released, they would look a lot better in the long run. Instead of putting on the aww shucks routine like Ortiz and come off looking like a disingenuous *******.
  15. No, keep him! I'm just kidding. Terminate his account with extreme prejudice.
  16. Hirsh has been beyond awful since he got hurt.
  17. Freddy Sanchez has got to be next.
  18. Under no circumstances should Lester be involved in a deal for Halladay. Ricciardi has to know Theo would never consent to that. There's being smart, and then there's being greedy.
  19. I saw this show the other day about the reticulated python in Borneo. They can actually eat people! Cliff Lee makes the Phils a pretty dangerous team in the playoffs. But until Brad Lidge gets his s*** together, no lead is safe for them.
  20. That's not an unfair offer from the Sox. And IMO I don't think they're giving up too much, either.
  21. Pods should have caught that ball.
  22. Just lost the no-no as well. 45 up. 45 down. Not a bad record.
  23. Jim Barr also did it.
