  1. Nice work by Daisuke.
  2. Out of it. Wow.
  3. Would sure be nice to have him? I don't like having him AND Drew out at the same time against the Yankees.
  4. Ever hear of tape delay?
  5. You're due, Youks!
  6. At least VMart is having an at bat.
  7. What the heck just happened?
  8. I'm banking on Chapman to be another Overpriced "Major League Caliber" Latin Special that the yankees overpay for and then regret doing so.
  9. Actually HWSNBN is a current and future Cy Young contender.
  10. We shall not name him. that's why he's He Who shall Not Be Named. Get with the program dude.
  11. John Lackey is the nominal ace of a playoff bound team. If he escapes the Angels, he will be overpaid by some struggling mid to upper market team looking to make a splash. I'd say out best bets to pick up a quality free agent starter are the injured guys who might come here because of our reputation for keeping people healthy. One name to throw out here that I haven't seen yet is Justin Duchscherer. He could be useful in a swing role without necessarily committing ourselves to a rotation spot. I could see signing him for a bullpen role and letting him try out in Spring as a starter. You could bring a guy like that in and still bring in another full time SP like Bedard, and let Ducscherer try to pitch long relief to be ready for if/when Bedard breaks down
  12. Any definite proof of his age? Teams have been getting burnt by this, so he's gotta prove he's as young as he says he is if he wants big money.
  13. I agree with BSN07. Unless Theo is more committed to Bowden than he's so far demonstrated, he'll probably be playing for another team.
  14. I dunno, what he said was so general it might be a horoscope. I don't think this is worth the table.
  15. Good thing Buchholz looked darn good in August, hmm?
  16. Detroit is a total fluke this year. They've actually allowed more runs than they scored an are somehow getting into the playoffs. They're 12 games over .500 and 13 games over pythag and if there were a single other half decent team in the division they'd be a memory right now. I'm sure you can blame a bit of that record on Leyland, but you can't blame him for there being no other team in that division worth half a damn.
  17. I agree with what I think Mr. Crunchy was trying to say. I think Leyland is a little overrated. The last time he got a team to playoffs they put up one of the worst performances of a heavy favorite in World Series history.
  18. more Royals defense. Lol.
  19. Gonzo and Ellsbury makes a run happen. Nice.
  20. You realize that if the Royals are a competent defensive club, those 3 unearned runs don't score and it's tied right now.
  21. Delcarmen.
  22. Kotchman doesn't suck.
  23. HOW DO YOU WALK MIGUEL OLIVO THERE??? HOW DO YOU WALK MIGUEL OLIVO AT ALL???
  24. THROW! STRIKES!!!
  25. Give up a bloop, or give up a blast, Saito, but don't you DARE walk runs in!
