  1. What a great use of a roster spot he is! Its really hard to find good AAA bench players, luckily we got one for the cheap price of 9 million this year, 11 million next year and 13 million in 2018!
  2. He's out for the season.
  3. Guys stop complaining, for Lester and Lackey we got Joe Kelly, Allen Craig and Rick Porcello, that's a solid haul. Plus with the money we saved by trading Lester, we were able to spend some extra money to get Pablo Sandoval and Rusney Castillo. The Paw-Sox have a lot of talent this year.
  4. Man I love NL games! Instead of Papi we all get to enjoy pitchers attempting to bunt! WOOHOO NL BASEBALL BABY!
  5. Porcello is starting to look like 2015 version of himself
  6. Wasn't saying it was a bad pitch, it's just getting frustrating to watch opposing teams hit so many homers off our pitching staff, especially Porcello.
  7. Porcello gives up another bomb, this time to a guy hitting .205, come the f*** on, enough with all these homers.
  8. Chris Young having a very nice game, two nice catches in foul territory and the RBI double.
  9. Thankfully he wasn't hurt, reminded me a lot of that Swihart play and the Sox really cant afford to lose another OF.. We are getting thin.
  10. I'm a Steelers fan and I didn't even know that story about Senquez. He has a bright future though, he is expected to start this year assuming he is healthy (he suffered a season ending injury last training camp) and I welcome his addition, because even if he is average, that's a huge upgrade. Steelers secondary is comparable to Red Sox rotation. Is there something going on tonight that involves Senquez or Mookie or this just like a random fact?
  11. We should bring back Manny. His "defense" is probably as "good" as it was in his prime and he can probably still hit regardless of his age.
  12. It's being reported by numerous verified accounts on twitter that Kimbo Slice has passed away at age 42, due to a heart attack. Wow, what a horrible week. R.I.P
  13. I personally think fishing and poker are the most difficult sports, the wear and tear on the body is absurd.
  14. Basketball is actually a very injury prone sport, and there is a lot of severe injuries in that sport as well. When I was in HS, there was a lot of statistics showing that basketball was the third most injury prone sport behind obviously football and I wanna say the other sport was soccer. However, this was for the high school level and not the pros and I'm not sure how much those numbers would differ. But basketball is definitely a sport that has a lot of injuries and I would love to see the numbers comparing injuries from different pro sports, because basketball has a lot, a majority are foot/ankle injuries, which was my issue when I played.
  15. Young has shut a lot of people up. This is why we don't DFA a proven solid player after 20 AB
  16. I feel like Reddick would be a great fit for the Yankees. He would hit a ton of bombs at YS.
  17. I don't count the Yankees out till they are officially eliminated. Also, the Orioles starting pitching is horrific
  18. One of the rare times I'm rooting for the Yankees to win. Just see the Orioles as a way bigger threat this year, and this is an opportunity for the Sox to pick up a game on the Orioles. Yanks up 2-0 and still threatening.
  19. 108/181. I somehow forgot Shane Victorino, but remembered Jonathan Van Every, Adam Stern, Jeff Bailey, Mauro Gomez, Quintin Berry, Yamaico Navarro, Adam Laroche and Casey Kotchman. Did awful with anybody who played before 2003 as that was first year I was old enough to remember anything about baseball.
  20. If Hanigan can't catch Wright well, I'm not really sure what he brings to this team. His bat is pathetically bad and he's had a rough year on defense.
