Jeez, the Marlins announcer started screaming and I thought it was a walkoff.

He would've had to fully layout for it, if he doesn't catch it, its likely extra bases, it wasn't worth the risk in that situation.

Do you really want him diving for a ball he likely doesn't catch, and have it result in a walk off inside the park home run? You don't risk that there.

He was solid as always, only run scored on a bloop double that Mookie easily catches if he's out there, but JD Martinez misplayed an out into an XBH. Like all of our starters, Cora pulled him early (5 innings, 92 pitches).

I liked Ellsbury in Boston, but obviously like most people did not want to pay him the absurd money he was going to demand in FA. I'm glad the Sox let him go, and equally as glad it was the Yankees who overpaid him.
