  1. Not many teams have that to give up, and the ones that do, would likely just wait till Mookie hit free agency if they seriously wanted him, considering whoever trades for him, would need to re-sign him.
  2. I have a good feeling about this one for some reason. In Sale we trust
  3. You guys are right. There are plenty of people who by age 26 have multiple top 2 MVP finishes, including winning one, have gone 30/30, won a battling title, numerous silver sluggers and is arguably the best fielder in all of baseball. He has the 8th best WAR in MLB history though his first 5 seasons behind only Trout, Pujols, Boggs, Jackie Robinson, Barry Bonds, Eddie Matthews, and Willie Mays. Decent company I guess. Not sure if you guys are just taking him for granted because we watch him every day, and maybe “generational” was wrong word. But he’s off to one of best starts for a career in MLB HISTORY...
  4. Yeah I think it’s time to play the show. This team has been unwatchable today. Pathetic
  5. I know, I was agreeing and adding to your point lol.
  6. I don't have a problem with what their paid. It is what it is, if it was easy, everyone would be a pro athlete or a music artist. I'm not in position to say what a player should or shouldn't accept. Its not my life Mookie is making $20 million this year, he should be set for life regardless. But he knows the type of money he's worth, there is no reason for him to accept a contract for half of what he'd get in the open market. Its not happening.
  7. This. If the Sox offer him a mega extension like Trout got, he'll re-sign. But why the hell would he sign for less than half of what Trout signed?
  8. I didn't say he would get higher. Sox offered less than half of what Trout got.
  9. There is no problem with betting on himself. He can easily make Trout money. He's already a millionaire.
  10. Why? Because he hasn’t been MVP caliber through 5 games?
  11. Beni really struggling to start year
  12. I guess it’s time to fire Cora
  13. I hate west coast trips in Seattle and Oakland. For whatever reason, it seems like Sox always suck those two places
  14. What the f*** is with all the home runs?
  15. Yup. A’s announcers thought he was safe and showed clear replay of Xander’s foot being down
  16. How does dumb ass MLB have instant replay and still get numerous calls wrong?
  17. Come on dude. Me and Youk have literally asked a million times, will you stop mentioning weird s*** on game threads? I know you can be a good poster when you want to be and a weird joke every once in a while is fine, but stuff like this isn't even funny. Knock it off. Also, no, I'm not saying gay people are weird, just the way he worded this post, I know he posted it just for a reaction. Just like the numerous other weird posts he'll occasionally make in gamethreads.
  18. I mentioned re-signing Mookie in the other thread. As for trading him? Absolutely not. He is a generational talent. Everything that can possible be done to make him re-sign should be done. Guys like Mookie don't come around often and what he's accomplished as only a 26 year old is nearly unheard of.
  19. Why did they start the season earlier than normal anyway?
  20. I still have nightmares about game 3 of the World Series.
  21. I never really cared about the spending... Id rather spend a lot of money, than be cheap and watch other teams spend on star players.
  22. Seems Sox have a lot of issues in Oakland historically as well
