  1. I completely agree. He had one of the most underrated careers of the 2000s/2010s. Also, the guy who gave Brady Penny a vote should be made public
  2. How is Beltré a maybe? He has 3rd highest WAR for 3B in MLB history, has 3000 hits, almost 500 homers and is all time leader for 3B in hits, RBI, runs scored and was one of best fielders at his position.
  3. Which is dumb. If a player retirees with a hall of fame resume, he should be inducted as soon as eligible. Just because some idiots made some of the legends wait extra years for no logical reason, it doesn’t mean it’s a tradition that should continue.
  4. Yeah, it’s really really bad logic. “Well some idiot back in the day didn’t vote for Ted Williams, so since that happened, when Albert Pujols is eligible, I’m gonna not vote for him!”
  5. It happens in every sport. If the media didn’t like a guy for whatever reason they’ll try holding him out. Terrell Owens I think got denied his first two years despite easily having accolades to be first ballot.
  6. My point is that it’s incredibly stupid to not vote for an obviously Hall Of Fame player just so they won’t be “unanimous”. There is no way Mariano Rivera was the only “unanimous” hall of famer.
  7. The people that don’t vote obvious players in should have their voting rights taken away. In what world are Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr not hall of famers?
  8. I wouldn't be mad. Bird has some potential, he just cant ever stay healthy. He's worth a shot. low risk/high reward.
  9. Pretty much this. Bum position player for bum pitcher
  10. There is no way JBJ makes it through waivers, or would accept a demotion to Pawtucket.
  11. I'm glad Porcello was a member of this team. Great teammate, solid inning eater, and was huge on a world series team. Wish him the best in New York.
  12. What a time to be alive.
  13. His career OBP is only .313, OPS .686, he can play multiple positions, but none of them particularly well, and has a career WAR of 0.5
  14. Yeah, he’s worth a shot at. He’s still somehow only 25, I actually thought he was older. I’m not mad at the signing.
  15. He kinda sucks. He’s basically Jonathan Herrera. Sweet!
  16. At least you aren't a Wizards fan, they're always slumping
  17. Jesus Christ that’s a lot of money
  18. Sounds like Travis Shaw wants to return to Boston, and they're expected to meet. He was absolutely horrible last season, but could be worth a shot. He's probably only gonna be signed for 1 year and around minimum.
  19. This is latest on Pillar from RotoWorld: Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that eight teams have checked in on Kevin Pillar. Pillar was non-tendered by the Giants earlier this week, as they didn't want to pay him the nearly $10 million he was set to earn in arbitration this winter. Still, while Pillar has on-base issues, he remains a plus defender with some power and speed. The 30-year-old should be able to land a starting center field job somewhere. I don't know what his price would be, but he should be the type of guy Sox target to replace Bradley. He is just as good defensively. Pillar does have a putrid OBP, but he still makes thing happen. He has pop, some speed, can steal bases, etc.
  20. I don't think it'll honestly impact Cole too much. He was going to get a shitload, he's still going to get a shitload
  21. If he's cheap, I'd welcome him back. I think he could have a bounce back year and at the very least he stays healthy and eats innings, he's good bottom of rotation guy.
  22. This Lebron/Anthony Davis duo looks like it is going to be a real problem.
  23. Not a Nats fan, but being from DMV area, a lot of my friends are, and I was rooting for Nats hard. What an awesome moment. Soto, Strasburg and Kendrick will be remembered in DC Sports History for a very long time.
  24. I think he's definitely worth a 1 year deal. He is a prime bounce back candidate IMO.
  25. Well, looks like Astros are going to win this series. Gerrit Cole is really good. Also, a lot of weird stuff happening at the game. Two instagram models flashed their boobs during the game and it was seen on national TV, the umpires were ridiculously bad and the home plate umpire was caught telling the Nats catcher he didnt call the pitch a strike because the catcher "assumed" it would be called a strike, and of course all the Donald Trump ********. What a weird night.
