  1. D-Backs. Awesome uniforms.
  2. I'd be happier with Shelden Williams being backup center right now. Seriously.
  3. OP is obviously BOY all over again. Francona's a bad strategy manager. He's only here because players like him. Manager's a fairly irrelevant position anyway. Just stop. WELL YEA BUT CAN HE RBI NO HE CANT False. Stats (the good ones at least, there are a lot of horrible baseball stats) help you analyze the game by filtering out all the meaningless garbage that the eye picks up and thinks is important.
  4. He's had one 'outstanding' year in Boston. Out of four. Why the front office isn't taking that into consideration while negotiating what's likely to be an elite pitcher contract, I have no clue. The last thing they should be doing is taking his carrot (potential free agency at season's end) off the stick.
  5. I haven't watched a single game yet.
  6. Turner is boring and predictable, Martz is fun, wacky, and spontaneous. Yippee. At the end of the day, the offenses will be pretty equal in terms of production. The Bears' lack of an offensive line and go-to wideout only hurts them more in the Martz schemes.
  7. How about a t-shirt?
  8. I'm lol'ing at the Bears. It will be hilarious when they miss the playoffs again next year.
  9. Some of what he said was true. He has never been a huge home run hitter, and it did seem like Cubs fans/employees were expecting him to belt 30. You can blame both sides.
  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nba/news/story?id=4966307 Looks like Finley's coming aboard.
  11. Good. Bobcats is a D-league name. And a bad one at that.
  12. I sort of agree... I think they are taking it easy and banking on the whole 'regular season means nothing' idea, but they're pushing it. It's time to wake up. Hopefully the Nets game got that message across. Good luck winning anything when you're 4th seed in the playoffs. Especially when having to deal with Cleveland tiring you out in the 2nd round before you go up against Orlando or Atlanta.
  13. If there's no rebounders out there, then fine. Anyone but Tony Allen.
  14. Against a completely harmless move, that could very well be beneficial for baseball's future, for the sake of preserving random bits of baseball's past. Makes no sense at all.
  15. Baseball's historic 'integrity' (cuz thats so so so so important) doesn't get trampled by those three franchises being gone from the league altogether, let alone staying in their city, keeping their team history, and merely changing divisions/leagues. I think baseball would live through such a scenario. Okay, who cares if they change leagues? They aren't relocating.
  16. New Orleans would not be able to support a baseball team. Plus the dog days would be hell in that weather. Dallas is Rangers territory.
