  1. Wow, maybe it's a good thing I don't have cable ATM.
  2. Good stuff. Defense needs to take center stage for us this offseason.
  3. Beckett's had 2 good seasons out of his 4 total in Boston. But we should lock him up now and give him the cookie before this season even starts (and if it's bad or forgettable, that's 2 good years out of 5 with the Sox... what a great option to pay out the ass for)? Christ. Schilling's just talking like an ex-player who wants to see his buddy and former teammate get a free pay day with zero regard for the team's best interest.
  4. Robinson isn't that much better a scorer than House. It's surprising what putting a player in an uptempo, offense happy system with no one else to take shots can make him look like.
  5. Nate trade is pointless. I couldn't be less neutral on it. Why not try to trade for someone who will fix this whole 28th-in-the-NBA-in-rebounding thing? Good luck being that bad on the boards and going anywhere in the playoffs. The Knicks are setting themselves up for one epic, hilarious clusterf*** of a letdown. This year's pick is going to Utah. Their next two picks are now probably going to Houston, with 2011 only being top-1 protected, 2012 top-5 protected. They won't get LeBron, Wade, or Amare. If Bosh leaves Toronto, I don't know if the Knicks are even in his top 10. Joe Johnson is the guy they have the best chance of getting, but is that really a lock? Does Atlanta, who is finally starting to look serious, really want to let Johnson and set themselves back? It's pretty much Atlanta's call, now matter how much cap room the Knicks have. If they get none of those guys, they are stuck with David Lee, Eddy Curry, Toney Douglas, and about 10 barely relevant FA signees to be, with their 2010, 2011, and likely 2012 draft picks all committed to other teams (but they'll have Houston's mid-20s 2011 pick!!1!). f***, Knicks fans will probably be jumping on the Nets bandwagon. If Houston could guarantee health (and they can't), they'd win the 2011 championship. So all we can do is think of them as a 'maybe' with lots of potential, just like at least half of last decade's Rockets teams.
  6. I'd do it. While we lose Ray's expiring, it's not like Butler and Jamison are locked up for eternity, either. Jamison's massive expiring-contract-to-be (in 3 years) could be a huge asset in the trade market when the time comes. If Davis then got swapped for Augustin, mother f***.
  7. Rondo, obviously.
  8. Celtics = lolfail.
  9. Toronto has been a soft team lacking any formidable inside game since they've been in the league. Bosh is a subpar defender and offensively prefers the mid range jump shot. If they could trade Bosh, WHO THEY OTHERWISE ARE GOING TO LOSE THIS OFFSEASON FOR NOTHING, for one of the few quality true centers in the league today, and pair him with Bargnani, who moves to the 4 spot, why wouldn't they do that? Bosh is a great player, and will be a huge prize for someone this summer. But the Raptors have playing him and Bargnani as their starting bigs for a few seasons now, resulting in them being probably one of the three worst inside teams in the league. Bynum is a good player who fits so so so much better with them. If salaries were no objection, I'd do that trade straight-up if I were the Raptors.
  10. If the Raptors actually have a Bosh for Bynum deal on the table, they would be idiots not to do that.
  11. Lol we are awful.
  12. Emmz thread, version 3.0.
  13. Too bad Indiana turned down that Danny Granger for Al Jefferson deal. That would have been great for both teams.
  14. As long as he heeds Dipre's exceedingly intricate 4-step program, I could give a f*** what culture he embraces or follows. I'd add 'well' to the end of #4, and include 'keep the front office in the loop' as #5.
  15. B-B-BUT WE HAZ 2 GLOBILIZE TEH GAME!!!1!1!!!1!
  16. Really doubt it. They have Conley and Mayo starting, with Tinsley entrenched as Conley's backup, and Sam Young being the main backup to Mayo and Gay.
