There were quite a few people who had high hopes for Seattle, but you have to go with the Tigers as the biggest disappointment. Everyone remembers all that huge hype when they made the trade with the Marlins. Most, if not all, of the predictions on mainstream sites have the Tigers in leading the central.

The part that made me laugh was this: He may very well win because that's the kind of thing that happens to millionaire dick-weeds like Barry Bonds. He can use the money to buy himself full sized testicles.

The green would probably be Apple Blend, or the new Citrus Blend. (I very recently gave the stuff up.) The orange is a mystery to me.

The MLB article mentions Farrell as coming back. As for the Cora thing, it did mention that the Red Sox would like a Spanish speaking coach to fill that vacancy, so...

Are you retarded? Did I say it was the team's fault? The team deserves better, that was the point. There are at least a half dozen places where fans would be s***ing themselves over any MLB franchise, let alone one that was going to it's first WS. If you can't sell out a stadium for World Series games there is no way there should be a franchise in that city. I realize you love to jump on people's posts, but you're way off, here.

Just a little tidbit about these annoying Rays fans... I saw a comment post on Bleacher Report that talked about a TV guy (Neil Hartman) who covers the Phillies. Evidently, he got wind that the Rays are lowering ticket prices (in some cases by as much as 50%) to assure the games are sold out. That seems to insane to be true, but then again... Working to sellout your first World Series? How pathetic would that be?

I went to bed mad last night, but now I've processed and I've read the posts to this thread and I'll stick my two cents in. Wakefield should stay as a fifth starter. Cora can go. Ortiz stays (unless you're fully insane) Tek should stay... Now, I realize that my thoughts on Tek put me in the minority. I'm not as knowledgeable on the minutia of the game as many of you are – you know, that "Bill James lives in my colon" sort of knowledge. I do realize that Tek was a liability offensively this year. I still believe that there are qualities that can't be easily replaced... His ability to get the best out of the pitchers. I believe each pitcher (except Wake) would have less wins if Tek was not the starter. His leadership presence - He's been around so long and people listen to him. The example he sets for being professional - he never looses his cool, but still manages to let even the fans know he cares about winning. I know most of you will think I'm daft, but that's my thoughts on the subject. As far as this Sanatana thing is concerned, watching him with the Mets didn't make me wish we'd gotten him. Enough said? And until that Caray twit said it, I'd never heard the phrases, ‘el caballito,’ or ‘little pony' in any context, let alone in reference to Pedroia. To all of the other Talksox folks (well, most of you, anyway) thanks for another fun season.

Nah. I trounced John Lackey for talking that crap after the ALDS and I can't resort to it now. I'm pretty sure that the Rays deserve to win. I still want them to friggin' lose, but they haven't lucked into this spot...they are really good.
