Who swept Rice? Dang. And who did Texas play? Mississippi State beat Rhode Island 12-6 today to finish off the sweep. I'm encouraged considering we were picked 11th in the SEC and have a really young team across the board.

Watching Mississippi State and Rhode Island this afternoon. Bulldogs up 1-0 in the 2nd. I'm so glad Connor Powers came back for his senior season. He blasted his 1st HR of the year in the 1st inning. He had 19 last year. If anyone is longing to watch some live baseball, say so and I will send you a link to the game.

This is a quality post. Glad you're still around here my friend. Mississippi State came back and got 2 in the 9th to beat Rhode Island 9-8. We had the bases loaded and were down to our final out and hit a chopper in between 3B/SS and tied it up, followed by a ball that was smacked over the CF's head. It was ugly though. We made 5 errors today. But still, I'll take a win on opening day. LSU looks like the team to beat... again.

This afternoon is opening day for most college baseball teams. I love this time of year with college baseball getting underway and MLB isn't far away either. Anyone here follow college baseball much? Mississippi State is hosting a 3 game series vs Rhode Island this weekend. I'm watching it now.

You know another good stat? Mississippi State commits the least amount of fouls of anyone in Division 1, which equals out to around just 13 per game. This is a tough one to swallow. Real tough.
