  1. Awesome man. Yeah, been a Bucs fan my whole life. And yes, it is cool to have a fellow Bucs fan on here. I still miss John Lynch, lol. He was THE man.
  2. And getting Favre would not put the Bucs over the top. Sure he'd make a big splash, but it's not like we'd win the SB or anything.
  3. LOL, I should've made myself more clear - Yes, I am sick of hearing about Favre, but I also don't want to give up the 1st round pick, which is what Green Bay is asking for right now. And I don't think Tampa nor any other teams will give them that in the first place. One of the big reasons a lot of teams are staying away from him anyway is that nobody knows if he is going to just come back for 1 year or what. I don't think giving up a high pick for Favre would be worth it, not to mention we're already an aging team.
  4. As a Bucs fan I don't know what to think. He would be better than what we have now, but I don't know if I could take the constant media circus 24/7. I already turn the channel when there's more "BREAKING NEWS!!!!" on Favre. :thumbdown
  5. Either that, or he is the most pessimistic poster of all time.
  6. Welcome fellow Southerner.
  7. I resent it when any club uses the "we can't compete because of money blah blah blah" excuse. The fact is, every club has money. Sure, teams like the Yankees/Tigers/Mets/Red Sox have more money than most, but that doesn't mean the other teams can't compete with them. Florida has won 2 WS in their short history, Colorado just made it to the WS last year, Minnesota is in the thick of things every year, etc. If you run your organization properly, even as a smaller market team, it can be done. Basically I just get tired of teams and fans alike going back to the same old excuse year in and year out.
  8. I would rarely consider many games over the course of a 162 game season a "must win", but I feel this is one of them. Getting swept on the road would be bad, but at home would be flat out embarassing. We need to step it up tonight and get the job done one way or another. We have our best pitcher this season on the mound and they have Ponson. No excuses to not win tonight.
  9. Oh, no doubt. He's still been steamrolling them though. I absolutely LOVED seeing the Brew Crew sweep the Cardinals IN St. Louis tonight. Bwahahaha. That was awesome.
  10. CC Sabathia has been ridiculous ever since being traded to the Brewers. He pitched a 3 hit CG shutout tonight at St. Louis, his THIRD CG in 4 starts with Milwaukee. With Sabathia, Sheets, and Manny Parra, the Brewers have a scary 1-2-3 in the rotation. I'd hate to draw them in a short series in October.
  11. I missed the game due to work. Someone give me a quick recap... I take it Buchholz looked pretty good? Masterson's performance sure sounds encouraging. It'll be nice to have another option to go to in the pen now that he's out there.
  12. He MIGHT be available, but you know Tito will only use him if he absolutely has to. Chances are he won't pitch.
  13. Okajima should be available. He made his first appearance after the All Star break just last night. Plus, we've got an off day tomorrow. And Cleveland is right up there with Seattle in terms of most disappointing teams.
  14. That's unfortunate, because I'll have to miss it all due to work. :thumbdown Oh well. Win anyway. Hope Buchholz gets things back on track.
  15. RBI double by Lowell! 3-0 Sox. Keep it going guys.
  16. Sac fly by Drew brings in Ellsbury. 2-0 Sox
  17. 3 really nice innings from Dice. 5 K's already.
  18. Drew!! Solo homer! 1-0 Sox
  19. The Phillies have just put SIX runs on the board in the top of the 9th at New York. And they're STILL batting. What a meltdown by the Mets. Wow. 8-5 Phillies
  20. Lineups: Red Sox Ellsbury LF Pedroia 2B Drew RF Ramirez DH Lowell 3B Youkilis 1B Lowrie SS Varitek C Crisp CF Mariners Suzuki RF Lopez 2B Ibanez LF Vidro DH Beltre 3B Reed CF Clement C LaHair 1B Betancourt SS
  21. Sox win 4-0. Good job guys.
