Enjoy watching the College World Series? Haven't heard any talk about it on here. I love it. It's great baseball and very exciting. LSU made an amazing comeback in the bottom of the 9th this afternoon, not to mention Georgia's big win over Miami Saturday night. UNC is leading Fresno State 3-2 (huge cinderella) in the 5th right now.

I believe they said LF was 201 feet. Crazy. What was the length down the lines at the Polo Grounds? Something like 230? It couldn't have been much more than that.

Just thought I'd update this and let yall know I'm going to try and get back to posting on here again. It's been a pretty busy senior year for me and I haven't had much time, but with baseball season starting back up I figured I'd try and get back to the board.

Tough break for Escobar. He had a really good year last year. Hope Lackey isn't out longer than 6-8 weeks. He's on my fantasy team in a money league I'm in. Still can't believe the Angels gave up O-Cab straight up for Jon Garland. Unbelievable.

I take it you've never come across Alabama fans, specifically in football. I watched the GW-Kentucky game yesterday. UK just got outplayed. It was also Billy Gillespie's birthday.

Maine and Richmond officially tipped off the college basketball season this afternoon. For those interested, Richmond won 44-42. Memphis also hosts UT-Martin tonight at 7:00 ET on ESPNU. Hope I'm not the only one ecstatic that college basketball is officially here.

Yeah, Orsillo is doing the playoffs for TBS. It's cool hearing him as an announcer in non-Red Sox games, but it's just not the same without having Remy there as the color guy. Anyway, what a fantastic game this has been. Nothing better than playoff baseball. I would love to see the Rockies pull this one out.

I'm actually surprised they didn't call him up from Memphis sooner. I think he hit around 25-30 homers for them this season, and he's a lot better than some of the usual crap the Cardinals have in their lineup on a daily basis.

Keep in mind how pathetic the Padres offense is, and that the NL as a whole have lineups that can't even compare to those he had been facing in the AL. Example: Anybody remember Jeff Suppan's brief stint with us several years ago? I still don't expect him to pitch well consistently. If he does, it will definitely be a surprise to me.
