    I think the Sox would have been far better off passing on Crawford this past offseason and used that money on Jose Reyes (signing him of course). Reyes is MUCH more worth a big contract than Crawford. I don't think it would be out of the question to sign Reyes though. Remember, $21 million comes off the books next year just with JD Drew and Cameron out.

WOW If it wasn't for Beckett, A-God, Ortiz, and Ellsbury, this team would be f***ed.

    Man I miss the days when going down to the trop was a 3 game vacation. These Maddon led Rays teams are pesky pains in the ass. Why can't they just suck again.

    The team has averaged just over 6 runs a game since May. Right now, they are on pace for 850 Runs. They would have to average 6.78 runs a game for the rest of the season (664 runs to reach 1,000 in 98 games). I'd love to see the offense that good, but I don't think it will happen. I think they will end up between 900 and 925 runs scored.

    Still don't understand how we spent so much money on a career .777OPS with .335 OBP and a noodle arm. I do like Crawford and think the team is better with him, but how the hell did he get nearly Teixeira kinda money? And I agree, I don't want him in the top of the lineup, he just doesn't get on enough.
