    True on that. They should have gone to jail though, too bad the law doesn't apply to athletes... Granted, I don't believe in criminalizing any substances that don't put others directly into harm (such as a ton of plutonium should be illegal)

    BUT, it explicitily says that if the individual caught using illegal drugs doesn't stop using drugs. So if they caught him and he continued use, then he would be "permanently removed from the game"

    Wow, ORS really is nailing this s***. So steroids were explicitly banned from the 90s on. That pretty much destroy's your argument, Crespblows. Point, Giambi and other roids users cheated. I don't give a flying f*** if they admit it or not. They cheated.

    I do believe that the drug war is a breach of our rights, but baseball has the right to do what ever it wants (so long as its not against the law) because it's a private business. If they wan't to ban illegal drugs, fine.

    Thanks ORS, so that argument that steroids weren't banned by MLB in '03 is moot. Nice post.

    Giambi never said steroids, he has just said stuff, etc. And saying that the MLB should appologize, after saying that the "stuff" never helped you hit HRs, is just stupid. Once Giambi comes out to the public and admits to using STEROIDS, and actually addressing his steroid use, then I'll back off a bit. But he cheated by using an illegal substance, and that is that.

    Major League Baseball shouldn't even have to ban steroids. If it is against the law in the US to use steroids and you are playing baseball in the US, then you can't legally use steroids while playing in MLB. Peroid. Giambi was using drugs that he wasn't supposed to and it made him better than he actually was. Peroid.

    Your pitcher should be able to pick the team up if you get a bad call. And honestly, when your down by 2 runs, a close play on a steal of second doesn't exactly blow the game, its your pitcher not getting outs that blows the game.
