    VA sox, I was just joking. Its been nice and surprising seeing JT pitch so well lately. I know how quickly people on this board can be fearful of the jinx (or at least have fun with it).

    Back to back hits. Arlight Manny, lets break out of this slump. A nice 3-run lead to start the game would be great for Tavarez.

    How aren't the Sox this good? I'll go through the lineup. Lugo isn't hitting all that well. Very low average, has an average OBP, good RBI production thus far though. Youk is hitting like Youk. Ortiz is ortiz. Manny can't hit a cold. Drew can't hit Manny who can't hit a cold. Lowell is looking like the Lowell of 04. Tek is looking like the Tek of 04/05. Coco still can't hit. WMP is a bad Adam Dunn right now. Pedroia is starting to come into his own. Mirabelli has done fairly well at the plate. Our backups have been good thus far (Cora outstanding). Our pitching staff is one the best in baseball. Our rotation STILL isn't complete. Becketts on the DL and we still are waiting for Lester. Our pen is fantastic behind Paps, Jima, Donnelly and everyone knows their role. Really, we can only improve from here. Just image how scary we might be when Beckett and Lester are back and Manny and Drew start hitting. That is a scary thought.

    Very intersting indeed. Drew does manage to walk alot, so at least he can get on base. I don't expect Ellsbury to play for the Sox this season. He'll probably see some playing time next year at the earliest. I just can't wait.

    Youk probably won't be greater than Helton, but Youk will certainly be better than Helton from here on out. He has far more value.

    What do you guys think. Is he the real deal? Or is his burst into May going to fade? He has hit 199 HR in 1100 games in the minors, but has had his chance to make it in the majors for a few years now. Is he actually this good?

    Yea this team sure is overachieving. Manny and Drew aren't hitting, niether is Crisp. We don't have Lester back yet and Beckett is out. We sure aren't as good as our record...

    I also like it better on defense. Lowell is one of the best defensive 3B to ever play the game. Youk is above average at first. I think the infield woudn't be close to as good if you moved Youk to 3rd. Helton is great at 1B, but I'd much rather keep Lowell at 3rd than move Youk there. And offensively, there's no reason to take Helton over Youk or Lowell at this point his career and his contract is just too big.

    We need a legit leadoff hitter. Lugo simply isn't that. I like Youk in the 2 spot and I guess there really no one else to leadoff other than Lugo. I just can't wait for Ellsbury.

    When is Manny going to find his stroke? This is starting to scare me.

    JD is such a dissapointment. He can't hit right now. And we have him for 5 years. I hope he starts to produce, or it might be 5 long, $14 million years.
