  1. Ellsbury for Masterson? Cleveland was looking for CF/leadoff
  2. Price would be the cherry on Cherries off season sundae
  3. Add in also that he is a high energy good clubhouse guy. The Sox are putting together a good group of dudes thats fun to cheers for instead of all the high priced divas. I'm liking the path so far.
  4. Could be the LHH at 1B. But with Arod on the shelf he's likely to get way more PT in NY
  5. I'm thinking an Ellsbury for Vargas type deal might be better. Ideally I trade Lester for Myers and flip Myers+Ellsbury+++ for King Felix hahaha
  6. He's owed way too much money. Philly is gonna have to eat a good size chunk before I like it. Lee is on the way out of his prime. The Red Sox should not stick themselves with paying for what Lee has done.
  7. Pass on Lee. He's owed a s*** ton of money so I'd rather have Halladay. Ellsbury being moved for pitching seems likely at this point though. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head they should dangle him for.
  8. Ugggg I'm not sure I like that. Lee has a ton of money left for 3 years and a huge 12.5M buyout for the 4th year. If Phillie isn't eating enough to make it about 18M a season, pass.
  9. Right now Ellsbury Victorino Pedroia Papi Napoli Middlebrooks Gomes/Kalish Ross/Lavs Iggy Looks a lot different then 2 days ago. Wonder what it looks like two days from now haha
  10. Fred go check out some of the stats in the Victorino thread. It may brighten your day
  11. Victorino is better?
  12. Nice homework. I like this deal more and more.
  13. RT @emmaspan: Boston trying to break their own all-time dudebro record, previously set in 2004. http://redstatewitch.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Big-Lebowski.jpg "The Dude approves this team"
  14. Exactly what I've been saying
  15. that be an interesting story. Twitter might have a stroke though...
  16. And Bourn wants 100M
  17. Victorino's deal looks good compared to Uptons. Albeit Upton has more upside and is younger.
  18. If he had that season this year he would have gotten close to Upton money. Maybe more as he has a better track record.
  19. They only have two guys that can run. I don't think we need to worry about them turning into the Angels. Also the team has roughly 50M before the LT. So they can afford to bump his AAV to land him and keep it at 3 years and not 4. This is one of the positives to payroll flexibility. And if in the 3rd year they want to move him, they eat 6M and trade him. That and we need to wait and look at the end result before judging the off season plan as a whole. It might look confusing now, but if you walk in to your moms kitchen about 1/4 of the way through her preparation you might have a hard time figuring out what dinner is gonna be.
  20. He got that much because he had multiple offers. The AAV got bumped up to "close" the deal.
  21. By that logic being slow leads to DP's That's 2 outs
  22. He's the only FA that fits that description. But I'm not sure I see it. Unless Ellsbury is being traded now, Victrino in CF and Swisher in RF occasionally at 1B.
  23. If they sign Ross this team becomes a match up nightmare
  24. Yes they now have 2 guys that can run lol
  25. He's not platooning. He's playing RF. They wanted someone that could play RF and CF(CF most likely so they have an in house option if they decide to trade Ellsbury now or at some point in the season). The OF right now is Gomes/Kalish in LF Ellsbury in CF and Victorino in RF.
