    Drew has held his own in RF, maybe not as big of numbers as we like but decent. Earlier in ST, I read an article where Tito was talking about how much Drew had changed in the club house. Going from quiest and keeping to himself, to joking around with the guys and on that particular day ripping dustin Pedroia about his beard. I have no issues abour Drew being the teams RF.

There going to have to play better if they plan on accomplishing anything good this season. Not panicing yet, just thought I'd bring it up for conversation sake.

    Balls where flying out today, the wind was blowing pretty hard. Beckett did throw some crap pitches, but I doubt he gives up that many all the time. 6 runs, on 6 hits doesn't happen often. Most times if you got 7 innings and give up 6 hits, your doing well.

    Gammons on Baseball Tonight, mentioned in one of his segments that the Sox could be close to deciding on dealing Lugo. He said the FO is starting to wonder if they can win another pennant with Lugo's sub par field work. We all new this could happen at some point. Question now is, who matches up for Lugo? I know J will say SD and to try and get Greene. This could be a nice option. Some here will look at his low BA and be turned off. But this kid has power, and a great glove. Put him in a hitters park like Fenway, and that will come up. For this deal to work, I would imagine that this would be a 3 team deal. Anyone got any trade ideas? Heres one, Boston trades Coco to SD, Lugo to CHC, CHC sends a prospect/ or Izturis to SD, Sox recieve Greene plus maybe a BP arm.

    When your young its hard to pass up that guranteed money. I think he can still be a FA beofre he turns 30 or right around there. If he continues on his course, he will have another big pay day. Right now hes the King fish in his little pond, if he goes elswehre he probably be just another big fish in a big ocean:D

    Unreal that he was able to stay at such a respectable level of play, for that amount of time. In a way, it's sort of then end of an era. As far as I know, hes the only active player to have played in the early 80's(I could be wrong:D).

    When Drew is hitting well, he does use the LF wall well. But when he struggles he becomes a bit pull happy.

    I think it would have to be a very nice deal for Theo to trade away Manny's best friend. I know it does sound somewhat silly. But we all know how Manny can be. It could not even phase him and he continues with his great start, or he could turn sour and pout and make a stink. He could go either way. To take that risk, Colorado would have to be offering something very vauable IMO.

    I think you missed my point, although I could have made it hard to get. Some where questioning if he should get a spot in the rotation or not. I'm saying that with the young pitchers in the Sox rotation, there will be plenty of oppurtunity for Schilling to pitch if healthy. Come September, theres no gurantee how strong Buchholz and Lester will be. Both if healthy will presumably pass there highest IP totals, they could hit the perverbiel wall, (which most young pitchers do), someone will need to step in, and Schilling will be there right in time if all goes well. Come Playoff time, the more options the better in my book.

    I know he has a 100MPH fastball, how are his secondary pitches? Does he have another pitch thats good enough to compliment his FB? So is he going to be a reliever for godd, or is there a chance he starts again?

    He could make some starts in August and September to lesson the load on Buchholz. He has a set amount of innings the Sox FO is extemely strict about. I think its 180-190. I would imagine at this point in time hes on that track for that amount for just the regular season. He will need to skip some starts to beable to throw innings in the Playoffs(if they are in that position, I'm trying not to take it for granted:D)
