  1. Nasty pitch by Beckett there. This ump always makes it interesting lol
  2. Pretty sure Pedroia will remember this day. And it will have nothing to do with the score of the game.
  3. Learn the teams history. Not until you understand the pain of being a Red Sox fan pre 2004, will you ever know what it is truly like to be a honest "Red Sox Fan". And not just another pink hat.
  4. It's his first kid. He should be there. And it shouldn't be an issue. Somethings in life are above the game.
  5. With Salty going down, I consider this to be a nice move really. Nice veteran presence that has won a WS. Teagarden looks to be a good catcher. But it doesn't hurt having a veteran helping him along the way IMO.

  7. Yes he will be back in a couple weeks. But will he be healthy, or will the team get what they have gotten all year from him? I am all for hoping Lowrie comes back healthy and takes over the SS spot. But there's no guarantee. And getting Gonzalez as an insurance in case Lowrie has limp wrist the rest of the year is a good move. In fact the whole "maybe Lowrie comes back healthy" is probably the reason they didn't bring in someone other the Gonzalez, who will be gone at the end of the season. Lowrie could be the reason the Sox haven't moved on a better SS. Maybe this holding out hope for him is actually hurting the team:dunno:
  8. Okay I was just throwing it out there as a possible reason. In any world though, Agon/Green>Green/Woodward If you look at it that way, the Sox did indeed improve the SS position on the whole.
  9. Poster 1: "Agon can't hit" Poster 2: " he can field, he wasn't brought into hit" Poster 1: "But the Sox offense needs help" Poster 2: "There wasn't any good offensive players available, so they got a someone who can field the SS positions" and repeat... 10. Better Defense= less runs scored by opponent= less runs you have to score to win the game?
  11. And I think his OF D is worse.
  12. Well even if you were, I hope you wouldn't be dumb enough to say you were.
  13. This guy ranks a 1 out of 5 on the Dojjita prospect intensity scale.
  14. No but he might allow for Tazawa to go to the pen. I would imagine he is approaching his innings cap sooner rather then later. But that's just a guess on my part.
  15. That would be an entertaining outing for sure:lol: If Padilla really only costs the veteran minimum, and is a FA at the end of the season, then I guess it wouldn't be a horrible thing to try. If it doesn't work they can just add him to the DFA list.
  16. I was just naming some oldies but goodies from the Sox not so good years:D
  17. Fair enough you didn't actually say that. I just assumed you were putting his name out there for consideration. Apologies.
  18. Moving him is not impossible. Not easy. But still.

  20. Mark Wagner, C
  21. It's because he kills the FO for Penny and Smoltz type acquisitions. But wants to hit the panic button for Padilla. Padiila is not what the Sox need. He's just another 5-6 IP. Is he a FA at then end of the year? Or would they have to keep him for next year? If it's just this season and only cost $ then sure. If they have to have him next year....meh...pass.
