  1. I think I need to pack one. Penny is way better stoned:D
  2. Dipre tagging along! Sup Spud? Yo CD! Nice to see Ellsbury continuing to hit. No one else was very inspiring lol
  3. Let's hope Penny has a good start in him tonight
  4. Reddick hasn't really hit much since his most recent call up. Isn't Anderson RH? Might be a match up thing.
  5. My first No hitter was with Mike Hampton
  6. Welcome. Join us in the Game Thread. Always a good way to get to know some of the posters:D
  7. Dumb question, but when did Anderson get brought up to the Sox?
  8. If you look close enough, you can see my house! Let's keep it going Sox!!!!!
  9. Hanley I honestly don't see available. I would really like him. But there just too close to the new stadium to move him IMO. He honestly doesn't get too expensive for a couple years. By then they will be in there new stadium and might be able to afford him. Saying that I believe everyone has a price. If Theo walked in and said here take my top 10 prospects, Florida or any other team involved(Felix,AG, whomever) would most likely deal player X. But I doubt Theo or anyone else would actually do such a thing. But non the less it is possible. AG would also be nice but he doesn't really fit after the V-Mart deal. V-Mart needs time at 1B to save his legs. But I guess if you look beyond 2010(assuming they keep V-Mart) I suppose he could see time at DH once Papi has left. Felix seems like the one that fits the most. If such a thing is possible in all this speculation. He's not a FA for a couple years. If Seattle feels they won't be able to re-sign him they could be more willing to part with him. It will be a high cost obviously. ORS, bit early for you to be in a thread such as this isn't it? Thought this type of discussion drove you crazy or something? As far as what your interpretation of what's in my mind, it would help if you new my perspective on the subject. I never said acquiring Hanley wouldn't be problematic. Just not insurmountable. You may not like or agree with some of the s*** I shovel. But at least it brings you around to post every now and then. Even if it is just to take the piss out of me:D
  10. Nice post. lol Love the vent. I feel some of those frustrations. Very nice post. It's a defensive move. If he hits anything it can only be considered a bonus. But you will be ahppy when he turns those inning ending DP's:D Not sure he will:D Ya, Gonzalez isn't ideal. But if he can help sure up the defense then so be it.
  11. That's been my problem too. Thats why I came here to see if people would play. At least there could be contact through here.
  12. I'm not saying it's 100%. I'm saying "what if" he's the reason they don't get in on other SS. They might figure they are paying Guzman 8M, and give Lowrie another shot. So basically we are looking at a Lowrie/Lugo platoon to start off 2010. Still sound good?

  14. This could be the first move. It wouldn't be unthinkable they got Agon for insurance just in case they can't pull another deal off. Maybe they add someone else and let Green go before September 1.
  15. Red Sox 1. Josh Reddick, CF 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. Victor Martinez, 1B 4. Jason Bay, LF 5. J.D. Drew, RF 6. Mike Lowell, 3B 7. David Ortiz, DH 8. Jason Varitek, C 9. Nick Green, SS -- Jon Lester, LHP Rangers 1. Omar Vizquel, 2B 2. Michael Young, 3B 3. Marlon Byrd, CF 4. Andrew Jones, DH 5. Josh Hamilton, RF 6. Hank Blalock, 1B 7. David Murphy, LF 8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C 9. Elvis Andrus, SS -- Kevin Millwood, RHP Is Ellsbury injured?
  16. I think they were implying to when he was available before he was traded to the Twins.
  17. I agree, Holliday is the more attractive acquisition. But it being Boras expect long drawn out talks as usual. You never know. Add in that NY will be in on the deal, plus I have to imagine St. Louis is going to make an effort to re-sign him. He won't be easy or cheap to get. It's going to be fun to watch. I for one hope as NY trys to woo Holliday, the Sox move quickly on a big trade and surprise everyone Worst comes to Worst Reddick gets a chance at LF. Plus there is always Crawford. I would imagine TB would like to pick up his option and trade him rather then letting him walk, but he might become available. He would be great on this team.
