  1. It's part of the game 228. It happens.
  2. Can't blame the umps. Pena shouldn't have dropped the ball. Wang didn't pitch badly, but I wasn't impressed. Velocity down, no sinker...against a real team, he would have been murdered.
  3. Not really...she really doesn't do much for me, and I've had much better looking. Megan Fox...now that's another story.
  4. 6/17 Lineups: YANKEES (37-27) Damon LF Swisher RF Teixeira 1B Rodriguez 3B Cano 2B Posada C Matsui DH Cabrera CF Pena SS Pitching: RHP Chien-Ming Wang (0-4, 14.34). NATIONALS (16-46) Guzman SS Johnson 1B Zimmerman 3B Dunn DH Dukes RF Patterson CF Bard C Harris LF Hernandez 2B Pitching: LHP John Lannan (3-5, 3.51). TIME/TV: 7:05 p.m., YES.
  5. This is the greatest game-day thread ever...at least before first pitch.
  6. You know what I love? A good percentage of you guys have something relating to me in your sigs. I LOVE IT! LOL!
  7. I admit, I chuckled.
  8. He's done. Enjoy this streak, because it aint gonna last.
  9. I don't think so.
  10. Of course. One of the greatest relievers in history just plays the game with no theatrics. A consummate professional.
  11. You know, watching all this ******** makes me appreciate the quiet, cool professionalism of Mariano. I've never heard another player ever say anything negative about Mo.
  12. By the way... Check this out: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/fielding?groupId=7&season=2009&seasonType=2&split=78&sortOrder=true&sortColumn=catcherERA&qualified=0 According to this, Posada is the 2nd worst catcher in baseball in 2009 when it comes to CERA. Only the immortal Chris Gimenez is worse. He's only caught one inning this year. In the 6 games against the Red Sox and Mets...Posada caught four games. The Yankees went 1-3. The oppostion scored 27 runs for a CERA of 6.75...which is inline with his season average of 6.44. The other two games, the Yankee pitchers gave up a total of THREE runs. Posada's BEST single game in that stretch is SIX runs. At what point does this stop being a coincidence?
  13. I read the post. What did you expect Molina to say? I steal a strike every AB? If he said that, it's akin to saying your teammate sucks. Come on buddy...the proof is in the pudding. I'm on the Posada bandwagon until he stops framing pitches, which he did well for the first couple of games, and then he forgot all about it. If what you're saying is true [which it is] about Burnett and CC preferring Cervelli/Molina, and their performance is better without Posada behind the plate...then why'd you sign them for 250 million if you were planning to give them a s***** catcher? Also, about the PA article...he's just wrong. He states that Posada was the starting catcher for 3 championships. Not true. Posada started the MINORITY of the games for all but 1 championship run. I killed Torre for many things, but he got that one right. The only championship the Yankees won with Posada the main guy in the playoffs was 2000. Nothing since. Posada should be the primary DH and third string defensive catcher. The Yankees have enough offense to carry Cervelli or Molina's bat. Plus, with Matsui and Nady [or Swisher] on the bench, you can pinch hit for one of those at bats a game, with Gardner to run. They do that, they win. They don't, they lose. It's really that simple.
  14. Posada is starting to forget to frame pitches again....
  15. Section 203 in the bleachers...home of the old section 39. I also have seats in the grandstand.
  16. What a day to see at the Stadium. I have to admit, it was such a gorgeous day, I left in the 6th inning. It was 13-0 at that point anyways.
  17. I need to trade...someone....trade with me...please.
  18. This Yankee team sucks.
  19. What an ugly matchup between yeszir and I. He's got a 4.98 ERA and 1.47 WHIP...and he's winning. I've got a .292 OBP....and I'm' winning. Fugly.
  20. Props to Tex for running hard all the way.
  21. Greinke or Halladay. No one else is even remotely close.
