    This would be a big move for the Yankees. Downs is just plain filthy. With Hughes and Mo, it's basically a six inning game...I hope we can get this guy.

    We tried ESPN, but I like Yahoo much better. There is no losers bracket in ESPN. Just the top 4. We got some real good members there, next year we'll do it with some cash. Half the members are good, half are non-existent.

    Mags stopped doing steroids and now can't hit. That's the truth, fellas. Bay will stay in Boston, the Yankees will let Matsui and Damon go and get Holliday. They open with an OF of Holliday, Swisher and Brett Cabrera. If Damon or Matsui wants to come back, they'll slide them into DH at a discount.

    Why does Cashman draft pitchers who have TJ surgery? It just doesn't seem all that smart. It's like buying a car that was totaled. So far, we've gotten Humberto Sanchez and Andrew Brackman. They both are s***. They both had TJ. Coincidence? I've come to the conclusion that Cashman and my grandmother are equal when it comes to pitcher evaluation. Considering my grandmother is dead, that might be a compliment to Cashman.

    You know what's a good idea? Giving a prize to the team that wins the consolation brackett. That would keep pretty much everyone in it. What do you say SFOC? At least give them their money back for the league, and take that out of the winners totals.

    Back to Gonzalez....it's a great fit...but you know who would be an even better fit? Jose Reyes. Assuming he comes back healthy, I can't see a better fit in all of baseball. Reyes would be the best shortstop you've possibly ever had a dynamic force at the top of the lineup. The Mets could rebuild with the prospects you give them, and pretty much anyone you give them would fill a need since the Mets farm system is not only putrid, but the only positions they don't need depth for are 3B and CF. I don't understand why this was never explored. Not now, since Reyes is hurt...but in general. Couple with the fact that you got rid of Lugo's salary, the timing later this year or in the off-season would be ideal.

    The best news about this is that A's are playing the Yankees and we won't have to deal with Holliday for the remaining three games.

    It would depend on the score. If it was 9-0, f*** it. I'd want to see the no-hitter or perfect game. If it is 1-0, win the game. I guess since I've been to hundreds of games, the result of one individual game is not all that important to me, so I may have a different view. I would lean towards the no-hitter.
