  1. FINALLY! I thought you guys went all nice on me. I was genuinely worried.
  2. If Hanley is hurt, you're done.
  3. Most people will agree that Yankee Stadium is a homerun hitters park. However, explain it to Nick Swisher. At Yankee Stadium, Swisher is garbage. One of the worst players I have EVER seen. [This may explain why I don't really care for him, since I see a lot of him at the stadium]. He has a .200 BA, .373 OBP, and a .309 SLG. His OPS is .682. He has his a total of three homers at Coors East. .309 Slugging? Are you f***ing serious? Even I could do that in the Majors. However... On the road...this guy is an MVP candidate. He boasts a .285 BA, .366 SLG, and a .618 SLG. With 19 homers [20, since he hit one tonight], this guy would lead the leage in homers if he played the whole season on the road. In all the years I've watched baseball, I've never seen this kind of disparity with a hitter, especially when the expected outcome would be reversed. Either way...how the f*** did we get this guy for Wilson Betemit? Wilson f***ing Betemit. Are you serious? Serious props to Cashman...for once.
  4. Yankee lefties: Cano, Matsui, Damon Yankee switchitters: Teixeira, Posada, Swisher, Cabrera Yankee righties: Arod, Jeter I would have to say that the Yankees probably have the most even lineup [matchup-wise] in baseball. I don't think there is another team in baseball that puts out 4 switch-hitters in their lineup.
  5. myp2p.eu If you have a fast connection, I would recommend just getting mlb.tv. It is a fantastic picture and the condensed games alone make it worth it.
  6. I must have scratched myself in my sleep.
  7. Problem was, everywhere. Torso, appendages, privates, face...worst case I ever had.
  8. You have indoor plumbing in your car? Not counting your Aunt, of course.
  9. They installed one in the Diner kitchen. Happy day!
  10. Just like us saying that there was no way you can come back down 0-3 after 86 years of futility? The Angels are a better team than you guys. I would actually favor the Angels due to the better starting pitching and home field advantage. I don't buy into jinxes, hexes, etc. I firmly believe that past performance is not indicative of future success. Don't sleep on the Angels.
  11. I would consider it a successful season if the Red Sox get swept by the Angels in the ALDS.
  12. Which is part of the reason I made the thread. Who do you think, going forward, will be the better pitcher?
  13. Irrespective, the point still stands.
  14. What are you talking about?
  15. No. It will be overwhelmingly Dice-K since this is a Red Sox site. I'm looking for the best reasoning.
  16. What I don't like about Dice-K is that he is a bullpen killer. His effective ERA is at least 1 run higher than what he posts due to the strain he puts on the pen. Even when he had his best season, he still was murder on the pen.
  17. I would have to say Wang. He's been a highly successful pitcher, and what worries me about Dice-K is that he is a five inning pitcher with a high whip for his career. I think Dice-K may be the safer bet, but I think Wang has a much higher upside.
  18. I doubt it. Either way...this season has been lost for both pitchers. Now, if you care to be involved, answer the question.
  19. Gom

    Dice-K

I meant "as". In other words, both are done for the season.
  20. She's right. After what we did in the back seat, it's not a disgrace, it's a debacle. She had to pay the fare some how, though. :harhar: Ay caramba!
  21. Considering that both pitchers were heavily counted on this season, and both have them have been abysmal failures, which one would you rather have going forward and why? I expect the camps to be split pretty much along the lines of our fandom, but let's see which side can make the better argument as to which pitcher will have a better bounceback next season, and who will have a more effective career.
