    This is absolutely ridiculous. You trade Mark Teahan and Dustin Nippert for Joakim Soria and Scutaro? Just a few days ago you traded Soria away AND THEN YOU GET HIM BACK? So...in less than one week, you trade with your SON, and here is the net trade: Luke Scott (Bal - OF) Jhonny Peralta (Cle - 3B,SS) Mark Teahan Dustin Nippert For Bobby Abreu (LAA - OF) Ryan Franklin (StL - RP) Jon Lester (Bos - SP) Marco Scutaro This is outright ridiculous. You should not be allowed to collude with your son to try to win. Not when money is involved. THE FOUR BEST PLAYERS IN THE TRADE YOU GOT. YOU GAVE UP ZERO VALUE. I voted against both trades. I hope for the integrity of the league, that this trade gets shot down. This is the third questionable trade you've made. Two with your son, and one with a player whose team you locked. Totally unacceptable.

    Funny how Red Sox fans talk about their players stealing money. How about the last Schilling contract? Just this year alone, how about Penny, Smoltz, Baldelli? Not to mention Dice-K, Papi, Varitek and Drew? Funny.

    I only wish I was here during the game. Well...at least we bitch-slapped Beckett. The only regret I have is that we didn't smack Lester. Hopefully in New York, we get the chance. Two out of three in Fenway when you desperately needed a series win, and putting the Red Sox in the fight of their lives for the season with Tampa AND Texas. Good weekend.

    Oh my goodness...he allowed 17 baserunners an inning and the Yankees couldn't score. This guy is junk. I'd be surprised if the Yankees didn't torch him the next time they see him.

    I don't really believe it is much of a difference if any. Whatever difference there is is more than offset by the back two. If you go with a three man rotation, the Yankees take that one too in my mind. I don't think there is a single baseball-saavy person in Boston or New York that doesn't believe that on any given day, CC, AJ, Beckett or Lester can completely shut down the other team. It's really hit or miss in my mind.

    Actually, no. The deadline to COMPLETE trades is tomorrow. They review period does not count against the trade deadline. I checked the rulebook. The review period does not count with the deadline. This would be true for any date you made as the trade deadline.

    Just like Burnett mowed you down two weeks ago. Or just like you beat him up in April. How about when Beckett shut us down two weeks ago. Or when we hammered him in April. Get the point? Lester, AJ, CC and Beckett can suck...or be dominant. The other pitchers are up in the air. I'll take Joba and Pettitte over any two you throw out against us.
