  1. You can't veto a deal as league commissioner?
  2. Just for the record, I would gladly ok to veto a deal after it was done if the other party asked me to. That goes for anyone but Keeper.
  3. I'm sure Bulldogs will chime in here soon enough. We've talked in emails how it's ******** if it gets vetoed.
  4. Call me a baby if you will, that's your prerogative. If it was my ball, I'd take it and go home. I sent out another trade to Bulldogs. If it gets rejected, I will no longer be an active league member. Don't bother with trade proposals, etc. It's funny how people can all jump to veto a deal, but not have the courtesy to accept/decline/counter a deal that was sent to them two weeks ago.
  5. Because vetoing this trade was ********. I honestly don't care about winning or losing. I enjoy the negotiation of trading most of all. If a deal that improves both teams is vetoed, and there is little to no activity in the league, and people don't even have the courtesy of declining a deal, then what's the point? If I can't get a refund, then anyone send me any proposal. I will accept it. Who knows, you might get lucky. As league commish, SFOC, you should have jumped in here.
  6. Is there a way I can get a refund for the league? This trade got vetoed, and it's ********. There is zero activity in this league, and I have trades for two f***ing weeks and not even the courtesy of a response. SFOC, let me know.
  7. Of course not. Do you discount that a good catcher will save a significant number of runs for their team? I would presume the answer is no. The debate is how much, not only on the player, but on the position. I always tell people to watch the games. Jacko makes fun of me for it, scoffing at the idea of watching of games and trumping the merits of statistical analysis over scouting. Seeing him go the other way is hysterical. It would be the equivalent of me coming in here and saying "Man, Holliday sure can hit that high inside fastball".
  8. I believe that what Jacko is trying to say is that a small difference in a defensive upgrade up the middle is equal to a large upgrade on the corners. Of course, you'd have to watch the games to see this. It is unimportant. He asked you to watch the gamezzzzzzzzz. This made my TalkSox day. On another note, I was bored, so I accepted your TalkSox trade. I honestly don't care either way, but you seem to want him...you owe me one.
  9. Interesting read. http://itsaboutthemoney.net/archives/2010/04/18/the-ecret-to-our-uccess-2/
  10. Only one player still wears 42. If you ask me, the class of baseball.
  11. What happens if I'm proven right?
  12. If I won, do you really need the shirt? I can't believe I've been jumped on for offering to help those in need. Then again, look at who does the jumping. People of zero consequence.
  13. Arod on the block. Need SP.
  14. It's a trade of need on both sides. He gets a huge upgrade with Morales, and I personally think the difference between Morales and Helton dwarfs Verlander and De La Rosa. Granderson I want as a Yankee, and MSU has had one or two saves total. Aardsma gives him a dominant relief corps. Both of our teams improve. I could afford Morales, and he could afford Verlander. He has the strongest staff in the league, with Lester, Halladay, Buchholz, Marcum, Wolf, etc. Another note...this league is a bit of a snoozefest. Maybe a couple of trades will shake things up a bit.
  15. Finally...another trade.
  16. I want to claim any prospect that Jacko hates.
  17. Hell, if you guys keep sucking, I'll make a game thread. The Red Sox sucking costs me money.
  18. We'll see at the All-Star break.
  19. Wow...you really think I care? I was just being polite because I find the barbs to be boring. The fact that you actually think it matters to me is amusing. Personally, I don't care, I just thought if I treated you nicely, you'd stick to baseball. My mistake was blaming a dog for pissing in the street. Lesson learned. I came here because I liked the banter back and forth, and the baseball analysis here was better than what I found on Yankee boards. Plus, the opposing view was more interesting. What's the point of debating something that everyone agrees with? I knew inherently that since I was a Yankee fan, people here would automatically take the other side. You wouldn't understand that. If someone doesn't agree with you, you don't know how to handle it. For someone who doesn't read my posts, you sure as hell try, and fail miserably, at debating them. You want us to think that you don't? Then why do you debate them..time and time again? You are so full of s***, it's not even funny. Personally, I would be happy if you never read or commented on my posts again. The reason why I look at stats against my opinion is simple. I try to find flaws in them. I debate with Red Sox fans because I want the opposing views. It's a scientific way of doing things. You try to find fault with things. Let me ask you a question, one in which I don't really care about the answer. Have you ever believed one thing in baseball, and found out later you were wrong? I already know the answer. Hubris my ass. Look in the mirror. All I've ever seen you do is post graphs and views of other's, and I can't remember when you made a point yourself. What must really be shocking to you is that I watch a lot of baseball on TV, besides going to games. So I get a perspective you couldn't comprehend. I can tell you where the Yankees position players depending on pitcher, pitch type, batter. These are things your "analysis" could not possibly do. Am I scout? f*** no. However, I can and do pick up things on occasion that scouts pick up. The majority of Yankee fans, the real fans who sit out in the bleachers, can pick up things the average fans do not. I'm sure the same is true for Red Sox fans. The analysis of players out there is far beyond your comprehension. You'd be lost without google. The main difference between you and me is that you, with all your acquired information, can tell me what happened. Thanks. Great. However, you will never be able to predict what can and most likely will happen. Once again, at least not without google. We'll see at the All-Star break if my prediction on the Red Sox staff is correct or not, as long as VMart is the catcher. If it is, head out, and put your analysis up there.
  20. Where did I ever claim victory? I just said he's the voice of reason. Again, an opinion. I also said that it probably stings Red Sox fans more when they hear it from Yankee fans than from their own. Again...an opinion, and one many people would agree with. Honestly, no matter how many people disagree with you, it doesn't matter. Irrespective of whether you believe something or not, you fail at having the ability to see that other people may have a different opinion. How on earth can you do this consistently? Explain. This I'd love to read. Refute one financial point I made in my post. Otherwise, please shut up.
  21. Exactly how did I instigate this?
