  1. I do hope you're right and I'm wrong. However, I am pretty sure that most of these players are not going to amount to much. My thing with this idiot is that he doesn't know when to hold 'em or fold 'em. He gambled on young pitching instead of the sure thing. His talent evaluation sucks. Only two teams didn't sign the first pick this year. Yankees and Nationals. Look...if you advocate signing CC and/or Sheets and/or Sabathia....well, you could have given up marginal players and gotten Santana and then the games this September would have meanth something. Now it's even tougher to get those players [why would they want to come here unless the money is ridiculously better?]. Now I hear that he wants to let Abreu go. He wants to get younger and more athletic. Abreu is a decent athlete, and one of the best OBP players the Yankees have. If he decides to go with Melky in the OF and let Abreu, who has SAID he WANTS to come back, then I'm seriously dropping my season tickets next year. All nine of them. The only chance we have is if Hank takes away 90% of Cashman's power and/or replaces him. I will say that in theory I like Cashman's plan. He's too rigid with it, he falls in love with young players because he probably is a pedophile, and he runs the Yankees as if they are a small-market team. If you can trade a "jewel" to get an All-Star, you do it 99% of the time. Would you trade Hughes, Kennedy, Austin Jackson, Sanchez and Coke for Pujols? I would. Why? Pujols is the sure thing. Those others are a hope and a prayer. Look, if Hughes and Kennedy had led the Yankees to the pennant this year, I'd be first in line in singing his praises. Since they have been abysmal, and since I advocated trading for Santana, and I was ridiculously close to what the Twins asked for the Yankees at the 11th hour, and I don't get paid to do it, I'm better at this then he is. I'm just a stupid fan who watches the game for free. He's supposed to be the professional getting a million bucks a year. Not only that, but if he came out and said "Hey, I blew it on Santana, I over-valued our young pitchers" then I could write that off as a bad call. He still thinks not making the deal was the right thing to do. Even you, as stubborn as you can be, are not that thick-headed. Jacko, if I diagnose patients better than you, it doesn't mean that I'm great. It means you suck, since you're the doctor. If I analyze moves BEFORE they happen better than he does....he sucks. No ifs, ands or buts. Good plan overall. Unqualified person to pull it off. Keep the plan if you like. Replace the incompetent boob.
  2. About a month ago, I said I liked Veras. I didn't think he'd be dominant. I do think he's got a live arm and has the potential of being a decent reliever. Edwar Ramirez is terrible. You cannot make it in the majors on two pitches if one of them is a flat 88-90 MPH fastball, and the other one is a changeup that is left up in the zone 40% of the time. Since the All-Star break: Ramirez: 6.20 ERA Veras: 4.50 ERA Ramirez is a waste. He would be a waste on the Nationals or the Mariners. You're becoming the Yankee version of Jayhawk Bill. In other words: An idiot.
  3. Jacko, you just don't see the things I do. His shoulder is opening up wide. I don't care about his elbow, it's his shoulder that is going to fall apart. How do you not see this? I also played ball in high school and college. I just didn't think you needed to know that. I've also umpired and coached. I also stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. Seriously, next time read what I write if you wish to respond. This is what you said.
  4. Double Post. My bad.
  5. Quote from The Yankees Republic. After reading this, even Jacko has to agree that it's time for someone else to run the Yankees. Please realize, that at the end of this article, the writer actually would like to see Cashman come back. I propose Stick Michael or see what it would take to get Doug Melvin over here. Cashman is so stupid, he can't even admit his mistakes. Welcome to my side of the fence Jacko. You can't possibly endorse Cashman after reading this article. Enjoy.
  6. Down 7-2....no hope for my squad. Roid Ragers...2nd place....sadness in NY.
  7. Jacko....I just Humberto Sanchez for the first time. Good velocity...decent breaking ball. Terrible mechanics. This guy will breakdown more than a Yugo.
  8. Now, I wish you dead. Die Strangebrew...DIE! Welcome. If you haven't gathered, I am a Yankee fan.
  9. SILENCE!!!! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!
  10. On another note... You guys are losing to a guy who never played Fantasy Football, doesn't know a thing about football, and is in this league solely to knock a deserving team out of the playoffs. How does that make you feel? You guys all suck. The only one who has an excuse is dreilly, because as a female, she's supposed to suck.
  11. Amen.
  12. What the hell is TalSox? Illiterate bastard. Go f*** yourself. Strangebrew was a movie in the 80's. Go play your Nintendo DS and instant message someone. You youngsters with your 8-track tapes sicken me.
  13. Schilling is entitled to say what he wants. GM Ed Wade said it best. "Curt is a horse one day out of five, and a horse's ass the the other four."
  14. How about Kazmir giving up 9 runs in 3 innings, or Nathan giving up 3 runs in 0.1 of an inning? It's part of the game. Down 7-3....do the Ragers have a comeback in them???
  15. Ugh. Down 8-1 after two days. My fantasy team is like the Yankees. Oh well...
  16. When the Yankees start cheating.
  17. Blame Canada.
  18. He's entitled to his opinion. I wouldn't really mind either way.
  19. I have to give kudos to the move. Too many people now believe that the status quo is the best. A shakeup was definitely the right call. They just got swept, they have one shot at this as CC and Sheets are sure to go, this is it for them. Let's remember Bob Lemon for Billy Martin. Sometimes it pays off in spades.
  20. Not good on day one. Kazmir got killed. It's only day 1  Seriously, I see you winning ERA, WHIP and NSV. I think I'll get you on K's. On offense, I think you'll get me in SB. I think I'll take you in R, RBI's and TB. It's going to come down to OBP and QS. That's my guess, anyways.
  21. I guess so. I don't know much about football, admittedly.
  22. Garard and Gonzales are still available.
  23. I hope that's not the case. Better to try him out and see what you have when the games don't mean anything.
