  1. Upstate NY. Its funny how New York can have so many sox fans. Its ridiculous, tons of sox bars
  2. Lowrie left with heat exhaustion, so my guess is he's giving him a day off
  3. As an aside, Ellsbury has just been incredibly unlucky. He takes a knee to the ribs while he is outstretched from a guy who is all muscle. Then he slides on it then collides with a pitcher and lands on the area. The sox need to shut him down for the yr and let it completely heal. The last thing you need is for this to linger into 2011
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/mlb/news/story?id=5463797 A faint line/crack and new edema. Francona says it could be just non-healing, but edema and a crack sounds like a rib fracture to me
  5. We are ball busters, and I can take anything you can dish out.
  6. It was on the pitcher
  7. Beckett looked like he was wincing in the 5th after a few pitches. I wouldnt be surprised if he's still hurt. He couldnt locate his curve to save his life, and that isnt typical for him. And a lot of his pitches were up, which could also lend credence to the injury theory, especially a back. It's tough to finish off pitches when your back is barkin
  8. Do you know anything about baseball? You know, failing 70% of the time on average is good? Seriously, you're just looking to pick a fight arent you. Your team's going down in flames, so you'll bring everyone around you down too. Were you picked on as a child? Did mommy not love you enough?
  9. Pettitte finished his simulated game. He's gonna need a few more. They arent calling it a setback, they're saying he hasnt fully healed and needs to build up strength. Sounds like he's gonna need more than the 1 sim game they prognosticated. He'll need 2 rehab starts at least, so that's 11 days built in that he's missing. If the guess is that he'll need 2 more sim games, then he probably isnt a Yankee option for another 20 days or so, putting Sept 1st as a likely possibility Oh, and the Sox are 4-3 vs the Royals this yr, the Yankees are now 4-2. Who should be more embarrassed?
  10. take a look at your record vs the royals this yr
  11. Pettitte was able to throw, he just still felt it. Regardless, you may think the division is "wide open" but it's a two team race. Your team cannot even hold a lead
  12. I personally think he's going back to college since he could demand top 2 money next yr. Right now, nothing has debunked that theory
  13. He's gonna be sore. I doubt he rebroke them as well, since a glancing blow typically doesnt crack the ribs
  14. Talk about a big day. JR Murphy, the yankees 2nd rounder from 2009, went 3 for 6 with 2 HRs and 9RBI today.
  15. Ellsbury left with "left side pain" after a collision at 1b
  16. Ellsbury is gonna be much better off with Boras than anyone else. He is not the kind of player that lasts long term. He's one dimensional, and once the legs start to slow down, so will his performance. I agree with the sentiment on here. He'll be dealt eventually, but the sox would be crazy to deal him now
  17. It's 5 games in the L column with a team that loses its best player
  18. CC shutting them down
  19. college. I started out at a DII powerhouse, then transferred to another DII powerhouse. Started in the CWS twice. It was a good run
  20. This is a horrible managerial move. You have Berkman on the bench with Thames facing a righty
  21. Me too. I played with a bunch of guys who got drafted. And they would inject in the clubhouse in front of the coaches.
