  1. So Perez kept us in the game by giving up 4 rockets. Lucky f***
  2. Cabrera- .836OPS in 2011 Peralta- .891OPS in 2011
  3. Peralta is better this yr.
  4. Did he get an MRI last week?
  5. Beckett felt something in his knee warming up, and had to be pulled
  6. Granderson adjusted his swing, Tex has been slow with the hits, but his power started strong and that's about it. We have two guys on pace for 45HRs, that'll do it
  7. Beltran would be a great fit in NY if Posada doesnt hit. And the Mets and Yanks have traded players multiple times. The issue lately has been either the Mets in contention, the Mets being delusional about their chances, or the Mets having s*** to trade.
  8. Cano has a ridiculous swing.
  9. Well, it's going to be interesting. If Lackey shows he's on track enough to be a 4.50ERA pitcher the rest of the way, then is it worth going out and trading prospects for a guy who'll be a 5th starter down the stretch and not even make the post season roster?
  10. 2010- 15-8 3.35ERA 1.25WHIP 204IP 170K. And in 2009, he was an elite reliever
  11. He better. You have to do what is right by your team, and if Posada isnt hitting, you need to replace him, as he is the designated hitter. If he doesnt hit, he brings nothing to the team
  12. Name the player, Jon Lester or CJ Wilson Player A: 10-4 3.31ERA 1.21WHIP 114.1IP 110K Player B: 9-3 3.20ERA 1.20WHIP 132IP 117K
  13. And if Lackey doesnt right the ship long term, you'll need another starter. My guess is the sox make a play for CJ Wilson in the offseason as will the Yanks
  14. I would vomit, but I doubt you get him. Your offense is ridiculous as is, why wouldnt you put that money into a 4th or 5th starter or sign a closer?
  15. Well, he was awful for 2 months, had a hot June and has been abysmal in July. If he has 3 terrible months and one solid one, then he has to sit.
  16. And you went with the sox? Come to the dark side my Ohio brother. Pinstripes look good on everyone...
  17. I think it depends on Posada. If Posada puts up another .600OPS month in July, they wont have a choice. With ARod out, we need Posada to produce, and if he doesnt kick it back on, then they needs to replace him
  18. They would absolutely DH Swisher. Beltran would be an absolute improvement defensively off of Swish
  19. But that's the thing, you advocate getting players who would be extraneous when you have guys who "could" get the job done. Now, if your offense sucked and these guys were your options, then yeah, it would make sense. But offense isnt your problem. You can afford to take a traditionally defense first position and try a kid there
  20. Cano has a ton of power. Wow
  21. BTW, Beltran will be in pretty high demand come the deadline. He's the best hitter on the block with possible 2 teams needing bats either in the OF or at DH. I am going out on a limb here, but if Posada continues to have a poor July, I think the Yankees just eat the salary and take him on
  22. Then you have to factor in the arb raise for Ellsbury, Bard, and Buchholz. And Youk, Lester and Pedey become expensive next season. Granted, that doesnt raise the lux tax, but it does raise the payout from the sox. a700, I highly, highly doubt the sox sign Reyes. Their lineup is loaded and they have Lowrie, Navarro and Iglesias waiting in the wings. Assuming one of those guys can put up a .700OPS, they wont have a huge need for a guy like Reyes.
  23. A Pink Hat is a bandwagon fan. And 22407, I am in no way shape or form a bandwagoner
