  1. For the first time in Yankee history, we've won 9 in a row against teams that are over .500
  2. They signed Marrero yesterday, but they are 13K from cracking the 5% mark, which would cost them their 1st rounder next yr
  3. I'd want to see his speed before making those comments. If Crawford has slowed down at all, then he's not getting back to his hay day numbers
  4. His offense was always power dependent, but what took him above and beyond was his speed. When he stopped stealing 30 bases, his batting average slid and his effectiveness waned. He was not a good candidate for a long term deal, but the cubbies gave it to him anyway
  5. I wonder how long they let Morales go. My guess is he goes no more than 4, but probably goes 3
  6. Jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Lets see if Morales can hold it
  7. cause Castro is probably headed for 3b
  8. This is gonna be interesting. A complete game from the sox pen and the sox facing a lefty who sucks. I do find it interesting that WMB, AdGon, and Salty are out of the game.
  9. I am completely sure he will require 2 top 100 prospects to deal Garza. Heck, they dealt 2 top 50 guys to get him and he's been better in Chitown than he was in Tampa. I am telling you right now, Garza is gonna move and he is going to bring a humongous haul to Chicago
  10. But he knows the sox farm system. And he isnt a fool, he got greedy. I think in Chicago he might be able to avoid the ever delightful quick fix.
  11. Yeah, this team is doing it the right way, with pitching. We still cannot hit at all with RISP, but a lot of our hitters are in scoring position when they are in the batters box. Nova has finally remembered that pitching to contact is what made him so good. Some of the hacks from the Nats were so weak, getting them to bounce out on the first pitch. He did get a little lucky with some line drives, but overall, he had the Nats tied in knots
  12. C'mon Sori, hold it down!
  13. They do not unless you deal those guys. You're delusional if you think otherwise. This guy is getting an ace haul simply because he's the best pitcher available
  14. Garza will bring a prospect haul back. If the sox want him, you're gonna have to deal Barnes
  15. And with 2 months of control, the M's got Smoak. Guys, garzas price will be huge
  16. He's not a starter anymore. The guy cannot stay healthy
  17. Rafael DePaula is dominating the DSL. Some may be wondering why he is starting all the way back there, well, he had some sort of family issue and needed to remain in the Dominican this yr. He obtained his visa, he has passed his investigation and will likely make his stateside debut next yr. He was dominant in 3 starts thus far, throwing 13 innings, allowing 14 baserunners and striking out 17. His velo is reportedly mid 90s and his stuff should play well in either SI or Charleston next yr
  18. Lars is making himself back into a tertiary prospect for a blockbuster trade. Nobody can really consider him a centerpiece, but he can certainly be the third guy in a deal for a guy like Garza. Britton isnt a starter, IMO. The guy got completely destroyed in a pitcher's league last yr in A+. They decided to move him out of the league and he has responded by pitching better, although with crappy peripherals. He's a reliever, IMO. I think they shorten him to FB-breaking ball and bring him through as a lefty reliever, maybe not even a specialist due to how good his stuff is. But I dont think this kid is starter material. They'll keep him there until they HAVE to move him, but he's not a big league starter, IMO.
  19. Also, the sox asked for Parra from the DBacks for Youkilis. The DBacks kindly hung up the phone
  20. Lester vs Price isnt even close right now since Lester has been a mediocre pussbag for a full season now. Ever since the ASB last yr he has had an ERA near 4.50 and the peripherals to warrant it
  21. Yankees pen coughs it up in the 8th, then tosses 6.1 scoreless innings to win. One game away from sweeping the Nats on their turf. Keep it rollin Nova!
  22. Hughes dominates again. 17-4 in our last 21!
  23. Well, the question is, do you think he can continue on this path, improve on this path, or is due for a correction. He K's a lot of hitters, but he also gives up a LOT of homeruns and walks his fair share. He's either on his way to being another Lester or another Fossum. The question is, do you sneak him into a deal for a bigger fish now, or do you want to see what lies at the end of this rainbow. I think he has big league stuff, and I'd want him too, but I can see if people wanted to cash in their lottery ticket with him as well
