  1. Robby Cano....Don't Ya Know. He is blistering hot. #17 on the yr. 5-0 Yankees. The romp is on!
  2. That was just stupid. Johnson swings and misses a ton of Encarnacion isnt exactly fast. Plus, you're doing it vs a lefty, so the jump sucks. That was just an awful decision there from Farrell
  3. The only pitch he has right now is the change. The only way he can turn this around is to use the fastball out of the zone and go with the change in the zone.
  4. with young guys, you deal with it. He has dynamite stuff, but a veteran and an ace learns how to pitch when the stuff isnt there. He isnt there yet, obviously
  5. Lawrie is a f***ing animal. He plays like a guy on 3 different cycles of roids
  6. DeWayne motha f***in Wise bitches! 4-0
  7. He will stay in the hospital another night. There is something they arent saying. If it was just a simple intestinal illness, he'd have stayed in the hospital for 1-2 nights, not 4
  8. Bobby has to see that he has NOTHING right now
  9. He's effectively your #3 starter. Buchholz has been a wild card all yr
  10. Cano stays hot. He's getting white hot. 2-0 Yankees. He stupidly went to third, but I'll take a 2-0 lead
  11. He must be one of those guys you love if he's on your team. I like his attitude, I just wish he'd hit to situations more. He was good last night and we took the series, so I'll take it. And Robby made up for his D last night.
  12. Cano is sucking ass defensively today.
  13. I am sure the Dodgers would have taken him for free, which is effectively what you gave him to Chicago for
  14. So, Buchholz has intestinal bleeding. And he'll be back in 10-14 days. The most common cause of his bleed is infection, be it bacterial or viral causing irritation and bleeding. But something he fits into the age group of is inflammatory bowel conditions like Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. Problems that typically require some immunosuppression and are chronic conditions that can flare and cause weight loss, dehydration, and significant GI bleeding. I hope, for his sake, it is not an autoimmune process. We shall see
  15. Should still be 4-0. Our catcher cannot seem to reach second base, or hit a flyball with a runner on 3rd. We should have 5 runs, actually. I'm longing for the days of Cervelli, f***
  16. I'd probably drop DePaula since he's still in the DSL and he's older. I'd go with Gumbs in that slot. I'd also put Omar Luis Rodriguez in the top 20. This kid is the goods. Also, Betances is still top 10, IMO. Once he is moved to the pen, where he belongs, you'll see why
  17. Effectively, the sox got $2 mil of cap relief. For a big market club, investing $180+ million in this season, it would be poetic if the $2 million they save turns out to be the final push the White Sox needed to put the sox out of it. I completely agree with the sentiment that he needed to be dealt. I just think the sox could have fared better by dealing him to LA than to the CWS. At least the only way you'd run into LA is in the WS, and at that point you take it.
  18. What I find hilarious was that there was a rumbling of Youk trades in the pre-season and everyone here thought he'd return a guy like Garza or a top line starter plus prospects. I said he was washed up, injured and his value was low. He came out and showed he was washed up, and now the sox GAVE him away. You guys got a utility outfielder who cannot play CF and an old minor leaguer with a limited repertoire AND gave nearly 5 million to the White Sox to let Youk go. I think that was about his value, dont get me wrong, but they gave him away. And as a700 is saying, if you are gonna give him away, dont give him to a team you will be fighting against in the wild card. If Youk gets motivated and puts out one last gasp run of .900OPS from here on out, the White Sox could keep you out of the playoffs.
  19. So we have signed all but 2 of our top 19 picks. Refsnyder is still in the CWS, so he cannot sign yet. And Hensley is holding out hope for more money. The common theme is that he will sign for somewhere near slot. After that, we're probably tapped out in terms of bonus money. I like our haul, especially being able to nab some good prep talent and a humongous power guy in O'Brien. I hope we might see more, but I won't hold my breath
  20. Morales is a guy you ride while hot because he is locating. It is a matter of time before the location goes out the window and when it does, you move him back
  21. The thing is, I think the White Sox and Guardians are going to let this one fester for another week or two to see if the sox demands drop a little. My guess is the sox will deal him for a AAAA player and have the receiving team eat the contract
  22. well that changed around in a hurry. Now need the pen to hold that one run lead
