  1. I dont doubt ARod would want out, but with the Marlins being an utter abortion and overstating what they thought they would get in attendance, I doubt they'd be willing to eat any of the Suck Rod's contract.
  2. Lin was DFA'd today. They arent expecting any bites, though, so he will likely remain in the organization
  3. http://www.nesn.com/2012/10/report-yankees-in-talks-to-trade-alex-rodriguez-to-marlins-possibly-in-exchange-for-heath-bell.html This sounds like a bunch of s***, but it is news.
  4. I didnt like the deal at the time because I thought Jackson would be able to compare favorably to Grandy and I liked Kennedy. Everyone thought I was a nutjob to like Kennedy, and lo and behold, he has turned out to be solid in the desert. I was happy with the trade last yr since Grandy put up phenomenal numbers, but after seeing him die in the last half plus the playoffs, I cannot say we should be happy. We gave up a lot (Kennedy, Coke, and Jackson) to get Grandy and the WAR we gave away compared to the WAR we received isnt even close
  5. Delmon Young has had a negative WAR for 2 consecutive seasons. He is a terrible outfielder who K's way too much, doesnt walk and cannot hit for a high average. All you can really count on with him is diabetes and around 20 HRs
  6. Pena quit on his team in 2004, and that will never be forgotten. Just like Jim Riggleman quitting on the Nats a few yrs back (great move dingbat!). Pena will continue to get interviews since he fulfills their minority requirements, but I doubt he gets hired by anyone as a manager. My money is on Ausmus, and I think he would be a great sign for a team that is sure to be pretty young next yr
  7. VMart will make their offense just that much more dangerous next yr. They underachieved big time in 2012 and if it wasnt for the White Sox completely collapsing, they'd have missed the party. I see them exploding on the scene next yr and probably winning close to 100 games
  8. The Yankees will have lost this series when it ends. You cannot hit this badly in a post season and survive. The Tigers hit pretty well vs the A's and the Yankees pitching has been consistently good through their 8 games. But when you have a roster of superstars and score the second most runs in the game, it is embarrassing to put up this kind of performance. I mean, ARod hasnt had a hit vs righties. Cano just ended a 29 at bat hitless streak. Swisher is the worst offensive player in the playoffs in Yankee history. I had to gamecast the Fister start, and there were a ton of pitches on hitters counts that were up that we swung through, which is completely unacceptable. My hope is that this causes a little bit of a philosophical change and some coaching changes. Girardi probably saved his job by pinch hitting for ARod and then benching him twice. That showed balls and a willingness to go against the grain, which is something most Yankee fans have been waiting for during his tenure here. But I fail to see how Kevin Long can keep his job. I obviously hope the Yankees can win 4 in a row, but I doubt that happens. What I do forsee is the Yankees taking the next 2 and then imploding at home, just to make it a little more painful. If they do follow the course of history and lose this series, though, I hope they do it tonight. Dont drag this thing out. Shut off the ventilator, turn off the drips, start the morphine and let this season come off life support and die
  9. Tulo is MVP caliber at home. He is All-Star level on the road. A good .080 difference in OPS between the split, plus he can never stay healthy and he is expensive
  10. Put the crack pipe down
  11. You're reaching. He has had a documented problem with drugs AND alcohol. It's not about rights, it's about performing at your best. If the Red Sox can add language into Lackey's contract to add a year at minimum wage if his elbow exploded, then the Yankees can do the same with Hamilton and his addiction issues. And it's not like the Yankees would unilaterally force that on him. The language would have to be agreed upon between the signing team an Hamilton
  12. The Yankees voided Aaron Boone's contract for violating the language of his contract. They most certainly can put a clause in the contract about drugs and alcohol
  13. It seems that whenever our backs are against the wall and I lose my mind, we respond. But this team is completely dead. We lost Jeter, and now our offense is completely dead sans a 40 yr old has been in Ibanez. Assuming we complete this ridiculous collapse, we should dismember things a bit differently.... 1. Find a way to get rid of ARod. I dont really care how you do it. Maybe you do it akin to what the Yankees did with AJ. ARod has 1 huge post season on his resume and a ring to show for it. His other offseasons in 04, 05, 06, 07, 10, 11, and now 12 are epically bad. Add to that the fact that he looks like a statue at 3b and appears to not give two shits about hitting to situations, I want him gone. Maybe you get someone to take on $50 mil of the $140 coming his way, but you have to find a way to move on from him. If you cannot deal him to some sucker, you have to re-sign Chavez and turn it into a platoon. Doing so might piss ARod off enough to force him into retiring or a "settlement" where he gets out of NY. 2. Decline Granderson's option. This must be done. Grandy sucks in CF, he no longer steals and he is as easy to K as a pitcher. The only way he hits is if someone is dumb enough to leave a fastball up. Everywhere else and ANYTHING offspeed leads to a K. You decline the option, offer the qualifying offer of $13 mil for 2013 and if he walks you get a pick. This needs to happen. 3. Sign Josh Hamilton. This is contingent on the ARod thing, and not the way you'd think. If we can deal ARod, then we should actually not do this and start a little offensive rebuild. If we cannot move ARod, then f*** it, we gotta do something to try and go for the now. Sign him to a huge AAV for 4-5 yrs with a drugs and alcohol clause stating that a relapse makes his contract non-guaranteed. If he sucks, follow him around with a PI, load his hotel room with booze and blow and see what happens. 4. Re-sign Ichiro. He should be cheap, he's responded well to NY and plays great D. Our defense in RF has been atrocious and our hitter out there (Swisher) sucks gigantic moose cock under pressure. That'd leave an OF of LF- Hamilton CF- Gardner RF- Ichiro Then go out and sign Ortiz. Why the f*** not? Load up on guys who actually play well and get rid of some of the bums on this squad.
  14. And, if you include a clause in there that a relapse makes his contract non-guaranteed, then you protect yourself. We need something offensively here.
  15. That might end up as one of the worst calls in the history of post season baseball. It wasnt just that the ball beat him and the tag was applied, it was the fact that Infante was out for about 3 seconds before he hit the base. There are bang bang plays and then there are obviously ridiculously easy plays and the latter are rarely missed. 2 of their runs are on the retarded umpires and the other is on Cano for not being able to get the damn ball out of his glove. Not like it would matter, as our offense suck cock. I am looking forward to blowing this entire mess up and finding guys who dont K every f***ing time up
  16. These umps have f***ed us twice. I really hope they take this into advisement and start getting rid of these dirtbags
  17. I want to trade this entire f***ing useless team
  18. Now girardi is gonna let Kuroda let this get away when the guy's on short rest. Our manager gags on moosecock
  19. This offense sucks cock
  20. I hate Miguel Cabrera
  21. f***ING STEAL SECOND BASE!!
  22. You bring in your closer to close out games. It didnt matter that it wasnt a save situation, it is obviously a situation where the Yankees could come back.
  23. I just got home. Insane how they blow every opportunity innings 1-8 and then just kick ass against closers. It's unreal. And Ibanez deserves a f***ing statue
  24. You called me out, and you were wrong. Time to eat some...er..dead oriole!
  25. The Nationals are destroying Wainwright. Looks like both defending league champs will be bounced prior to the LCS
