  1. IMO, the Twins are gonna be playoff cupcakes.
  2. Then took a big step forward last year in stuff and command.
  3. I think you’ll see Stanton out there 70% of the time with Gardner spelling him. EE playing 70% of games should keep him fresh
  4. Now that’s a smart rebuttal! I’m intrigued to see who we go after. We’ve got the big league ready talent to snag someone who’s ace level. I wonder if the Nats would move Scherzer?
  5. Shawaryn is not going to take starters innings. He’s going to be a middle relief guy and be reserved for blowouts, rest of other relievers, or RH dominant lineups. His delivery and stuff should make him a good play vs the Yankees RH dominant lineup. The lefty dominant lineups will murder him. Other than that, I doubt you can start him in the majors. He’s lower than 3/4 and higher than sidearm with a top velocity of 91 and a sweeping slider. He’s a lefty hitter’s dream.
  6. When someone says something stupid, I usually rephrase it for them and say it slowly. So the guy who leads the league in homeruns isn’t an overly valuable piece? That’s just stupid. Really, really stupid. But you’re the king of stupid on this board, so keep adding to your crown
  7. I truly think this was a keepaway move. That and I think their GM saw a guy he wanted in return whom he was familiar with. Encarnacion now makes out lineup a full 9 deep with two damn good backups who’d be starting on most every other club. I do wonder if EE keeps raking if we exercise his option for next ye. $5 mil is being paid by TB, so it’s $15 mil for a DH who hammers.
  8. Getting another RH power bat is a big boon for us vs Boston, too
  9. EE also kills us. Glad he’s on our side
  10. Lol, you’re such a moron. You’ve hated Frazier since we got him and now that he’s hitting big league pitching, you’re pulling small sample sizes. You’re such a troll
  11. Encarnacion would have taken over 1b with Chavis moving to 2b and allowing your lineup to be more dangerous. He was definitely a target for the sox, but the money was too much to handle. With where the sox are in terms of lux tax, they don't have the means to add more than one piece that costs money
  12. harmony, it must be tough being a fan of the Mariners and going through a true blue tear down of a near playoff team from the year before. The GM in Seattle nailed it, though. He was entirely correct in his teardown. Cano has wilted. Diaz is mortal. Paxton has been good, but injured and not ace-like. Seattle went from a barren wasteland to a top system overnight. If you follow the Astros playbook, stockpiling talent for a few years could really help
  13. Huge step forward? Do you ever stop drinking the Kool Aid? The sox system is still ranked dead last with the biggest impact players not even debuting yet as short season has yet to break camp. The guys in your system, outside of Duran, have shown nothing that scouts and prospect followers don't already know
  14. It's a tough break for the kid. His .855OPS would be 5th on your squad, right there with Devers and Moreland and ahead of Betts. Yet he's the odd man out. I hope he takes this well and goes down to work on his defense. That is the one flaw in his game. He's not a burner and won't steal bases, but he is a good runner capable of showing good range and going 1st to third or scoring from second. He's got a cannon for an arm. He has lightning quick wrists and power to spare. He just takes the worst routes and makes bad reads, usually in a reckless manner. If he can be controlled in the field, he will have a future here. If he isn't shipped out, he is gonna be our starting LFer next yr
  15. Of course the glory holes couldn’t hold the lead
  16. Frazier is staring at a demotion. Not because he should be, just that he’s squeezed out with our current squad. He’s been awesome offensively
  17. Wanna see something sick?? Lineup once everyone returns 1. Lemahieu 3B 2. Judge RF 3. Gregorius SS 4. Stanton LF 5. Sánchez C 6. Voit 1B 7. Encarnacion DH 8. Torres 2B 9. Hicks CF Urshela and Gardner ready whenever What a sick lineup, wow
  18. As with all squads, it’s best to be at either pole. There is no major benefit to being the Angels and picking 10-20 every year without making the playoffs. Either you suck and get the best talent or you go for it and make the POs
  19. Disagree. The Cubs and Astros did their tank perfectly. The Pirates ranked for years and their problem was that they went cheap in the draft as well. If you nail the scouting and development piece, tanking for a few years will absolutely help your squad return to glory.
  20. Top draft picks generally performed better than the later selections. You also have to remember that a top pick also comes with a top pick in each round. String a few of those drafts together and you’ve got something
  21. Yes it was interference. Yes, the umps made the right call by the letter. What it should be, though, is a dead ball and out right there. That run was already across prior to the interference.
  22. Means is out. The O’s pen is absolutely putrid. You’re gonna tack on and pull away.
  23. Paxton still doesn’t have his A stuff. Guys getting far too good a swing off him. I’m wondering if he’s tipping.
  24. Brayan Bello has an ERA over 8. Then is a year younger than Bello. Not sure they are comparable
