    obviously I can only go off what most of the scouting sites think, but Pedroia dropped on many a scouting list from mid 50s to off the list or even in the high 90s based solely off the major league performance.

    if he doesnt do well, showcasing hurts his value. If he does well, then you will keep him up. If you really want to "showcase" him, you keep him in AAA and let him dominate.

    JD Drew has been awful. The leadoff hitter has been in the middle of 3 rallies and he has killed all 3.

    I was sitting at home in front of my TV in the first inning and I said to myself, Beckett is gonna have trouble tonight. Why you ask? Because the first 2 curves he threw nearly went to the backstop. He did snap off a few good ones, but it was clear that he didnt trust his curve tonight. That led to him sitting heat and getting smooshed. 6-0, 2 on, Francis out of the game. If the sox dont score this inning, then I think it is done.

    not true. Yeah, you can see the lots. But you also see the half empty stadium. Look at Yankee stadium on days when it is close and Mo is in the game. It is still full. Fenway? Same deal.

    Example, when you have a young core like you have and really no mid guys, you may need to headline a deal with someone of quality to get anything done. And with Beckett and DMats, you have two young pitchers for a LONG time. Lester plus Buchholz gives you 2 other slots and Bowden at this point would be the 5th. We'll see. But in terms of dealability, none of the mid range guys have progressed to a point of them being worth anything.

    well, the sox have had 6 games in june where they have scored 3 runs or less. A tough lefty who is hot is on the mound. Good luck. Um, actually, I hope you lose.
