  1. well. Pettitte deflects a hit to Cano with his pitching hand. Got out of the inning, but that is a worry nonetheless.
  2. I'd LOVE 38 pizzas for one dollar. Papa Johns, specialty, delish.
  3. Yankees leading again, but still squandered a big opportunity. 2-1
  4. that is Thomas Pressly. Bagging a big framed HS kid is pretty nice I'd say.
  5. Thus far, the yankees have signed 2 players that were considered to be tougher signs in Manny Barreda and our 21st rounder Snyder. Other signees include Mr. Irrelevant, the catcher Day from UConn, and the two big pitchers Zink (17th round) and Jones (33rd round). Zink is an interesting guy and just signed today. 6'5" power armed pitcher who was expected to go in the top 2 or 3 rounds in the 06 draft but had TJ surgery prior to the draft and wasnt picked. He didnt recover completely until his last 3 starts of this season and really showed off by 1 hitting Long Beach state in the regionals. He was sitting at 91 in the regionals on his sinker and his slider is recovering back to its plus days pre-TJ. He'll be an interesting guy to follow.
  6. We got some production out of Giambi. His 02, 03, 05, and 06 were worth at least 10mil+. Pavano- absolutely correct. Igawa- certainly starting to look like a poor move, but we shall see.
  7. my god. YOu want Eckstein to replace Lugo. Yikes. BTW, how does 4 yrs of Lugo look these days?
  8. but across the board, all rookies typically produce well below their potenial in their first season. There are certainly outliers, but be serious here. How many rookies come up and hit lights out right away? You dont see it too often and for a kid who doesnt have a lot of power, it might be a little tougher. Typically, the ones who do come up and catch fire do so by hitting the ball into the seats. This kid wont be doing that anytime soon.
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/blog/index?name=simmons&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab4pos1 i like this idea of fixing the problems in the NBA. Radical, I know, but interesting.
  10. either that or they are all a bunch of http://bluebuddies.com/gallery/Is_This_A_Smurf/jpg/Trolls_Not_Smurfs.jpg
  11. I am watching ESPN tonight. Is there anyone dumber or more useless than Steven A Smith? I really dislike this guy.
  12. btw, they need to put a crater in RF too.
  13. 8 games. I cannot believe that a week and a half ago, we were down 14. Happy?
  14. and then be eliminated in 3 games in the NLDS.
  15. the AL West sucks too. To be honest, the west could just be sold to Canada and most americans wouldnt care.
  16. since 1965, the teams that are now in the NL West have won 3 WS. Yuk
  17. all arbitrary? Garbage. Since 2005 encompasses 3 series, and in that same time, the east has won the same amount of games as your garbage division has in 5.
  18. the rox are below .500 and in the NL.
  19. Yanks win and break .500. Moose throws 7.2IP strong. ARod hitting well, Matsui showing power, Bruney has his velocity back. 8 in a row and counting. Keep on rollin.
  20. i am not using one single series, I am using 5, consecutive.
  21. its called a calculator. lol. After tonight (assuming yanks win and sox lose) Sox 41-23 98 games left Yanks 32-31 99 games left start here
