    Interesting thought, but probably not one that will float. His changeup is not considered fantastic. It is fantastic that as a reliever, he throws a third pitch, but his change is far from plus. He is a 2 pitch pitcher with a plus fastball and a developing curveball. His issues seem to have been staved off this season, as he had trouble with command in the zone. He is finally putting it together out of the pen, doesnt seem to have the arsenal for starting, and hasnt started a game in 3 yrs. So I'd say, not the best of ideas. In fact, I predict that Okajima has an off yr next yr and Delcarmen will be a beast in the setup role.

    the point is that Papi almost threw in the towel on the playoffs this past weekend. He doesnt want to take ANOTHER cortisone injection and from the sounds of it, he nearly got another one. I agree with him btw. He has had enough injections at this point. Now it is time to suck it up or shut it down and he was close to shutting it down. In terms of its meaning, who knows. We'll see if this is just an injured star building up hype, or a hurt guy confronting reality. My money is on him playing.

    it is all about building up arm strength. This season, Buch threw nearly 150 innings. This means he is about ready for 180 which would get him through a full MLB season.

    this is about as must win as a non-elimination game can be. If you lose tonight.. A. The Guardians will have a chance to close you out in their home park with their best pitcher on the mound. B. You would have to face Sabathia, Carmona, and Westbrook in consecutive games, all as must wins. C. You would need to win game 6 and game 7 with pitchers who have already failed in this series. If you dont win tonight, then it really becomes Dicey.

That double he hit was ridiculous. Oppo, high off the wall while getting nothing on it. He hit that ball and it looked like it should have dunked in behind 3rd, but it hit the wall. Even though I despise the sox, this guy needs to be there. It makes the games interesting.
