  1. 2 at bats does not a good comparison make. He might have made that decision based on Swisher's numbers over the last few seasons. He hits lefties to a .052 higher OPS than righties. At the same time, Swisher is a dead red fastball hitter and bringing in a dead red pitcher seemed like a bad idea. Then again, Swisher hit a changeup for the game tying single
  2. The sox should destroy Davies
  3. Garcia left with tightness in his elbow. He says he thinks it's serious. Might be time to write him off, unless it's just se scar tissue breaking up
  4. http://yankees.scout.com/2/958640.html need a password Also, Christian Garcia is hurt again. Seriously, the yankees screwed the pooch on this one leaving him in the rotation. He threw 5.2IP of scoreless dominance before being taken out, escorted by a trainer with 2 strikes on the hitter. No idea what it was.
  5. Good day to you too....troll
  6. btw, why do you feel the need to ruin the thread?
  7. Also, even though he dominated minor league camp, Slade Heathcott is in extended spring training and will be starting the season in June with the SI Yankees
  8. you wont be saying that when he starts doing this in the Bronx. Which will be coming soon
  9. Jesus Montero drills a double in his first AAA at bat.
  10. Joe West's strike zone is an embarrassment as well
  11. You are apparently missing the entire point. He cannot continue to have a BABIP of .250 throughout his career. And he cannot continue to be completely unhittable when his back is against the wall. Those catch up to you. Which is why his pace and his potential for walks will catch up to him.
  12. He will probably get the entire month before Tito starts platooning him with Lowell.
  13. PWNdroia- as much as I love sox fan despair, you are an idiot for giving up on your team after game 3
  14. Their bullpen will be the key. If Soriano remains healthy and Howell comes back okay, then they should be okay. Their problems last season did not step from the lineup or the rotation. They just couldnt hold a lead
  15. Arent you an Guardians fan? If it wasnt for the lovable losers from Chicago, your team would be the laughing stock of the entirety of baseball.
  16. On May 7th, the Yankees should be in full swing. You only got to see them at half speed.
  17. Scutaro has been subpar by a LONG shot on defense thus far. His range isnt great, his hands are good, and thus far, Youk has saved 2 more errors that would have come from him on throws. Could just be a bad series, but he didnt impress in the field
  18. Why not? I expect this lineup to walk a massive amount. ARod, Swisher, and Johnson will be near 100. Tex and Jeter right behind them in walks. This lineup is one of the most patient I have ever seen
  19. Yeah, Chan Ho Park just shut down the sox lineup for 3 innings. I see now why he's a flyball pitcher. He gets a lot of outs on pitches just above the strike zone. The problem is, in Yankee Stadium, some of those are going to fly out
  20. Pettitte was solid, nice to see that in such a hostile environment. Swisher somehow gets into the thick of things. Granderson has a really nice stroke, but he looks lost vs any lefty. Mariano lost a couple ticks off the cutter, but he gained some serious movement. Now it looks like a slider at 91mph. Even though the offense was halted for most of the night, I am really liking this lineup. We have scored 16 runs in 3 games against the sox 3 aces without our 1-4 guys doing much of anything at all.
  21. he drove in your only run tonight
  22. ARod, Cano, Posada? I like our chances. Nice to see a pitchers duel after 2 sloppy offensive games
  23. He was signed to a big league deal, so that idea was flawed.
