I don't walk Pudge there. Simple numbers: Pudge 95 OPS+, Thames 107 OPS+. Sure, maybe Pudge is a savvy veteran, but he really is worse than Thames and that does not make any sense to walk him to face a better hitter when you don't need a double play.
The Sox should not trade for Teixeira. He would not fill a hole in our offense (1B or 3B ) and would cost one, two or maybe even three of our top prospects. Trading for Griffey would help the offense A LOT more because 1) CF is a hole and 2) Teixeira is preforming about the same as Lowell and Youk.

I'd much rather have the former.

I like this kid a lot. The GCL team should be fun to watch, as it will probably have Dent (hopefully), Middlebrooks (hopefully), Beltre, Tejada and Lin. Should be exciting.
Lowrie is off to a quality start this year: .276/.417/.418/.835 13 XBH (9 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR), 32 walks and 24 K's in 134 AB's. I would really like to see him be promoted to AAA, but I wouldn't be suprised if the Sox decide to take it slow with him.
