  1. BP Fielding Numbers Tek/Posada: -8, +13- Yanks Youk/Mientkiewicz: +1, -5- Sox Pedroia/Cano: +1, +15- Yanks Lugo/Jeter: -1 (+19 2005), +7- Yanks Lowell/Arod: +19, -16- Sox Manny/Matsui: -14, +6- Yanks Crisp/Damon: -1, -6- Sox Drew/Abreu: +13, +3- Sox 4-4. 2006 Defensive Efficiency Rating: Sox .683, Yanks .706
  2. Youkilis/Mientkiewicz 2006 Zone Ratings: .847 (Youk) .824 (Mientkiewicz) Pedroia/Cano 2006 ZR: .806 (Pedroia) .807 (Cano) Lugo/Jeter 2006 ZR: .779 (Lugo) .805 (Jeter) Lowell/Arod 2006 ZR: .765 (Lowell) .695 (Arod) Manny/Matsui 2006 ZR: .482 (Manny) .684 (Matsui) Crisp/Damon 2006 ZR: .780 (Crisp) .828 (Damon) Drew/Abreu 2006 ZR: .665 (Drew) .604 (Philly)/.627 (NYY) Varitek/Posada CS%: 18% (Tek) 35% (Posada) 4-3 Yanks (Pedroia and Cano are even), although I would argue that Tek is better than Posada.
  3. 97-65. Yanks finish 2nd with the wild card at 94-68. It's gonna be a great season....
  4. Pujols is pretty nice.
  5. Natale is a guy who really jumped out at me this offseason. His career OPS is .950!!!! Sure, he is old for his level, but his numbers are truly ridiculous. I can't wait to see what he can do at a higher level.
  6. I disagree. Elite closers are much, much, much more valuable than the 4 or 5 starter. Anyways, I voted for Snyder.
  7. Throw right, bat lefty
  8. I don't see this coming up again. The Rox know what they want (young talent who can contribute soon) and the Sox aren't willing to give that up. Good job by Theo standing strong here.
  9. I disagree. Youk's offense would become much more valuable at 3B. Last year he had 102 Runs Created, Lowell had 76. Lowell is also much older and more expensive. Trading Youk instead of Lowell would be a bad, bad decision in my opinion. Youk would've been tied for 7th in RC for 3B's last year.
  10. Marcus Giles- I donno why, but I just love him.
  11. Are you seriously thinking about platooning someone with Youk? He had 102 RC last year, which put him 10th at one of the strongest hitting posistions. Please tell me you're kidding. Please.
  12. edit: Nate just posted the story i was gonna post
  13. It was a good read. My favorite part was the intro, where Theo predicts maybe a 85 win season in '06 because they are breaking in the youngsters.
  14. Probably Giles without the K's and a little less power.
  15. I would love this. Love it. A .361 SLG from their 1B? That my friends, is a black hole.
  16. Cano will not hit .330 again. It's common sense: A player who hits .330 will probably not hit .330 again the next year.
  17. I wouldn't mind giving Cox a shot in ST. His stuff is explosive, making him perfect for the role. He probably would be just as good as the options that we have now, IMO.
  18. my b. this is the first time ive been here in awhile. sorry.
  19. It now appears that our 2007 lineup is set. I would like to see it be: Lugo Youk Papi Manny Drew Lowell Tek Pedroia/Coco Coco/Pedroia Thoughts?
  20. Jason Marquis has agreed to a 3 year deal. Sources say the deal is between $20 and $28 mill. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2691994 Wow. What a crazy market.
  21. Definetly sign/trade for a closer.
