  1. Wil Cordero? He wasn't a 2B but that may be him. Also Carl Everett. He was good, but still.
  2. I dig the high socks on Mo. Assuming they hold on, solid first win for the Yanks. Teixeira looks good, Martin looks promising, and while CC struggled a bit overall he was good, especially since he usually starts slow.
  3. Definitely Pedro for me.
  4. Actually interesting fact that Kay brought up: For the first time since 1927-28, the Yankees have put the same outfield and infield (not including catcher) on the field for two Opening Days in a row. Kind of surprising that it didn't happen again before the FA era.
  5. Mark Teixeira looks like he is always in pain.
  6. Try before the first pitch. "Mike Mussina, retired for now. Inactive for the last three years." Dude. He's done. Give it up.
  7. Meh, I'm on MLB.tv, and this way I get to post any stupid s*** Kay says.
  8. Oh sweet Michael Kay.
  9. Done with class at 3. Sox at 4, then Orioles at 7 (my roommates are Orioles fans). Beer likely.
  10. Halladay's NLDS no-hitter was pretty awesome. And the 2001 World Series.
  11. I actually think the Guardians are not too far from contending. Certainly not this year, though.
  12. Posada is the full-time DH, yes? With what you've said, I'd go with a bench of: Montero: C/1B (right?) Jones: All 3 outfield spots Pena: 2B/SS/3B Chavez: 3B/1B Seems to make sense.
  13. Any Yankee fans have projections for the last few spots of the roster? Does Eric Chavez have a shot? I've always liked him, actually.
  14. I hope it's Colon. Also I just looked him up on Baseball Reference. It says he is 6'0" and 185 pounds. Didn't realize they took weights from their age-12 season.
  15. Gonzo with an oppo line drive single on his first pitch. Lackey looked good in the 1st, too.
  16. Maryland beating NC State right now. We get Duke tomorrow if we win. The road to the NCAA Tourney begins. (I know we're not going to win the ACC Tournament, but just let me dream)
  17. Actually rooting for the Lakers tonight. Weird. I'm also even more excited for the playoffs than I have been in years past. I think it's going to be a good one.
  18. I'm so glad I remembered there was a game just in time to see the top of the 9th. EDIT: Fuuuck Casey Kotchman with the game tying double. In other news, Casey Kotchman is on the Rays apparently! EDIT2: Rays walkoff home run
  19. Haha holy s*** what an ending. Tejeda hits a triple to left center, tries to go home on a throwing error and gets thrown out. Now they're debating whether it was a HR. At least we know Tejeda has wheels. EDIT: Home run, tie game. Oscar Tejeda with the game tying home run. And then some other scrub hits a go ahead HR! Sutton! Who the f*** are you?
  20. Well Maryland won't be in the tournament, so I guess I don't really have a rooting interest. I'm still pretty psyched though, I always love the tournament.
  21. I always forget Cameron is still on the team. Paired with McDonald, that's a really good backup outfield.
  22. Thank god. Dude looked like an absolute slob last spring.
  23. I'm with Emmz on this. I am not Mormon but I know a few. Polygamy is absolutely not practiced, except in the very most extreme cases. You know what you're signing up for by going to BYU, it's an honor code and they should be expected to abide by it.
  24. Questioning of his religion aside, he broke the rules and he should pay the consequences. BYU is pretty serious about their s***, this doesn't surprise me at all.
