    Gonzalez is not going to hit .300, but he is not going to hit .240 like earlier. He is a more than servicable shortstop who can go .270, 10+ homers, and excellent defense. Why not hold on to him for longer?

    Shouldn't trade him, Wily Mo might not even be back and at full strength at July 31. Just get the 2 draft picks via arbitration offer and be happy. We couldn't get a top notch prospect for him straight up anyway.

    Ortiz has still done it consistently, and in pressure (playoffs) 4 times, counting 2003 ALDS Game 4. If Zimmerman keeps this going for a few years and playoffs (probably not on his team), we'll talk.

    Responding to the final vote stuff, Pierzynski is the 4th best player in that group, if not 5th. Hernandez and him are a wash I think, without looking at the stats. Liriano should absolutely be in, so should Verlander and Hafner. At least they got the NL right. If there was an ASG without the league leader in AVG and the league leader in starter's ERA, and probably K/9, you know this is a joke. This one counts? Then why the f*** is Mark Redman pitching?

    This is the worst possible year for him to break out and be healthy. Not that I'm not happy about it, it's awesome, but contract-wise.

    If we see progression in Wily Mo, he will likely be gone. If Wily Mo isn't quite ready yet, why not sign him to a 1 year contract, then let him go?
