  1. Tek likely isn't going anywhere with that salary, and I could not imagine Mo in another uniform ever.
  2. Julio Lugo if Gonzalez leaves. EDIT: Cool, Jeff Frye is an agent!
  3. But still, wouldn't you want top dollar for a guy who a few teams are after. If you can push it, push it.
  4. Never heard of either guys the Rays got, didn't they want Lester and Papelbon for Lugo? Looks like they've lowered their asking price a bit.
  5. Damn, that's gonna be a good game 3. I got Game 1 tix.
  6. Hmmm...Papi didn't win MVP because he couldn't field. And ARod can?
  7. I'd love to join, I'll do it all year round.
  8. League: AL MVP: Vernon Wells WP: Santana Save: Rivera (Ozzie said he would close, I believe)
  9. Oh yeah, he sucks, but we had a connection in ST.
  10. Wright, Papi, Cabrera, Howard is the order.
  11. And some great production from the 5 hole, and extra speed. I'm partial on this deal, but I do not think it happens anyway.
  12. Glaus, my pick, eliminated. Wright and Cabrera, the 2 kids, will likely move on. Tejada and Berkman are likely done with the 3 favorites coming up.
  13. I think he meant in his opinion, it'll happen in the 2nd half.
  14. Yeahh. And Minges.
  15. Ah. Dave McCarty woulda done the job!
  16. How long is Abreu's contract? If it expires at the end of the season, him for Nixon and Hansen isn't worth it at all. VORP: Abreu: 27.8, Nixon: 17.2. Yeah, it is an upgrade, but with Hansen in the mix, and if Abreu is gone after this year, it's a no-no.
  17. Why wouldn't we use Johnson? I know, I know, he sucks, but at least he's a pitcher.
  18. Glaus. All this guy can really do is hit for power.
  19. Glad the AS Break is here for many reasons, but another is we might be able to rest Wakefield until possibly the end of the Royals or the Mariners series.
  20. Could be a trade in the works, there are many days until a 5th starter is needed.
  21. Fun fact (or not so fun, depending how you look at it): After Papelbon, Tavarez has the second most games pitched, and after Timlin, Seanez comes in fourth.
  22. Neither have been stellar at the plate, but just looking at VORP, Crisp's is 2.9, slightly above average offensively, while Varitek's is -1.8, slightly below average offensively.
  23. Guys, that original lineup with Pudge at leadoff was just the starters, notice how it went by position.
  24. DUSTIN, remember Breslow, he was the guy in the bullpen making the hand gestures to us.
  25. MVP-- Big Papi Comeback Pitcher--Curt Schilling Comeback Position Player--Mike Lowell Cy Young--Jonathan Papelbon Best Glove --Mike Lowell Best Catch--Coco vs. Mets, although that DP on the home opener, where Loretta hit it to Gonzalez was pretty sick. Biggest Disappointment of a Pitcher --Clement/bullpen veterans besides Timlin Biggest Disappointment of a Position Player --Varitek
