  1. Temperature should never be an excuse. The Orioles were playing in the same weather the Yankees were.
  2. So he'll be out for the Red Sox series?
  3. I was gonna leave that part out...
  4. Orioles take 2 of 3. Coulda swept. Yanks and Sox now tied.
  5. John Parrish escaped that one by a hair. I'm watching on Gameday; is it true that he threw 4 straight balls in the dirt to Giambi after going up 0-2?
  6. Something's wrong with the Rasner one.
  7. Yikes, Pettitte in relief? The pitching and defense has REAAALLLLYY struggled so far. What an AB by Damon, capped off by a triple. As for Rod, it's not like it's some miracle that he's now hitting. He's always hit. I don't believe in clutch. It comes and goes. It came at the perfect time for him last night. Good for him.
  8. Just a tad, but I also feel that every time the Yankees are not favored to win a game, they do. Frustrating.
  9. Yikes, Phelps is hitting before Cano? Why?
  10. Tavarez doesn't need to be released. Just get out of the f***ing rotation.
  11. With them 2 out, Rasner pitching, and Bedard on the other side, the Orioles have a good shot at winning. Unfortunately, Cairo will go 5 for 6, Melky will hit 2 homers and steal 3 bases, and Rasner will throw a 3 hitter. Thats just what happens.
  12. Something's gotta change here. We won a couple I started last year, so why not? This one is on ESPN. Meaning we have to hear Joe Morgan talk about how statistics aren't really a good measuring stick, so Darin Erstad is better than Adam Dunn. As for the Red Sox, we need to win this one. We can't get swept this early on in the year. Going back to Fenway 3-3, as ugly as it has been, wouldn't be horrible. 13. The market has bloated incredibly, and guys like Mueller, Nixon, Bellhorn, Pedro and Foulke all of whom were key parts of the 2004 season, would not be nearly as productive in 07 (2 of whom are retired). If we kept that same team for the same amount of money, we'd be near 75 wins.
  14. Just got home but was listening in the car. Horrific. Simply horrific. And to top it off, ARod hit a walkoff granny? Whats going on?
  15. You're right, he usually does have slow starts (I think...) He'll be fine.
  16. Hey cool this thing does work.
  17. Wakefield pitched better than any Yankee so far.
  18. Yanks lose 6-4 to Baltimore. Mussina went 4 innings, 6 runs. But as jackso would say, let's wait and see how he does against the good teams to decide how good he really is...
  19. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070406&content_id=1882561&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Over/Under on Papelbon's blown out shoulder: July 31.
  20. Nice play by Manny. LET'S GO.
  21. Lucky call. Okajima hesitated way too much though.
