  1. A superbly average pitcher. I guess I appreciate what he did in the first half of 2005...
  2. I'd rather be two years away from a World Championship than one away from a pennant. Too bad it got rained out, but at least I can watch the whole game tomorrow. And the Yankees today. Not the worst thing.
  3. Yeah, couldn't have been much better for Lowe. 8 innings, 2 hits and no walks.
  4. He's coming up in the 8th, so we'll see. Considering it's his first game, I might yank him.
  5. So, how about Derek f***ing Lowe?
  6. Baseball time! Derek Lowe vs. Brett Myers.
  7. That's stupid IMO. If you're going to move into a new stadium, move into it. Maintaining two stadiums would be really hard.
  8. 300-350 is a lot, at least without injury.
  9. No surprise there. We'll see Buchholz at some point.
  10. Woot I got Kilo-sigged.
  11. I wouldn't have done that. Reyes is a Top 3 pick IMO, and Fielder could be a 1st rounder as well. With A-Rod's injury, none of the guys you got are 1st rounders, maybe not even 2nd. Kinsler, A-Rod and Peavy are all great players but not on the level of Reyes or Fielder this year. I also expect Johnson to have a good year.
  12. Fenway thread turns to flying car thread in 6 posts. Nice. I hope it doesn't last 50 years. They'll keep adding seats, which will only make it less comfortable. I honestly can't imagine Fenway in 2059.
  13. He has caught Zink in AAA; not sure how similar the knuckleballs are, though.
  14. If you stay to talk baseball, that's fine with me. Just please don't post this again.
  15. What if you're a catcher in your 30s? Now, I think Piazza's a cheater, but I don't find his decline so ridiculous. He went from 40 HR, to 38, 36, 33, then 11 in an injured season, then 20, 19, 22 in shorter seasons.
  16. Just because you're a human doesn't mean this isn't spam. G'day sir.
  17. It wasn't the same pick, but if we kept the pick we would have had the chance to take him, IIRC.
  18. Cool, I like him. And yes, Julio Lugo was very much worth it.
  19. He sure can handle a staff, and mentor the team. The Red Sox are a bunch of worthless *******s without him.
  20. But wait a second, the guy in the first picture is named David Arias not David Ortiz! I jest.
