  1. *Keeps watching*
  2. If he was meant to be a mentor, he'd be a coach. He's the starter at this point.
  3. Realistically, Drew would never supplant Ortiz in the 3-spot. I would have: Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz Youkilis Drew Bay Lowell Varitek Lowrie
  4. lol management.
  5. My bracket is an utter failure. My final four was 0/4.
  6. April 6.
  7. The Red Sox also told a kid with cancer that there's no Santa Claus. They're pretty f***ing mean.
  8. Meet Gom...
  9. ^ Ouch
  10. It's hard not to after a 1.06 ERA. His K/BB ratio is really bad though, and cause for concern. His WHIP was a solid 1.15 last year, but that's with his monster season. I expect it to rise a lot, with his ERA. Is he closing or is Devine?
  11. Does your league have OBP? Braun's was below average last year (it all depends on his BA though). That would be my only hold up; otherwise I'd go for it.
  12. Hanley because of positional scarcity.
  13. Is it more ridiculous than having them behind Washington and Florida?
  14. Uhh wow. That sequence of events was crazy, and now Pitt will probably tie it.
  15. Good luck with that.
  16. Glad we get Sonnanstine over Price.
  17. No surprises there. Any chance they put Wakefield 2nd or 3rd to 'mix things up'? I remember they've done that a couple times in the past.
  18. Here's the link: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090327&content_id=4079240&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Supposed to miss at least 6 weeks, so not completely devastating, but definitely not helping. Angels probably do win the division.
  19. Yes, Prior went #2 though. Last 10 pitchers picked #1: David Price, TB (2007) Luke Hochevar, KC (2006) Bryan Bullington, PIT (2002) Matt Anderson, DET (1997) Kris Benson, PIT (1996) Paul Wilson, NYM (1994) Brien Taylor, NYY (1991) Ben McDonald, BAL (1989) Andy Benes, SD (1988) So yeah, not the best track record.
  20. At least not in the draft; they're already sizing him up for his Nationals jersey. And all signs point to him being a stud. Honestly I don't have the details off the top of my head, but I do know he can hit 101, and is one of the most developed and MLB ready college pitchers in a long time.
  21. YES, somebody else noticed this. And doesn't she say something about size when pointing at his junk?
