  1. They call me the board vegetarian; I don't have a beef with anyone. Ok that was ridiculous. But yeah it's all good. I just need something to cheer me up after this.
  2. Not official yet. Also want to wait to hear from Tito & ownership.
  3. Hahaha wow awesome picture.
  4. Tigers in 5 is what I'm leaning toward.
  5. Pics or it didn't happen. But I'm not surprised. I'll do the same tomorrow.
  6. Press conference today was very interesting. Mentions of clubhouse issues, direct criticism of Lackey, essentially saying that they've sucked at signing big free agents, poor conditioning, etc. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2011/09/live_updates_fr_2.html
  7. Rays announce Matt Moore as the Game 1 starter. Awesome.
  8. Haha I really should have just waited for an official announcement.
  9. Easily Rick Sutcliffe. He guaranteed me that the Sox would win last night because of Papelbon's eyes! But seriously, Vin Scully by a mile.
  10. Skim through, see that he says the 2004 World Series was in November, stop reading. Check out Joe Posnanski and Colin Wyers on last night: http://joeposnanski.blogspot.com/2011/09/baseball-night-in-america.html http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=15204
  11. Oh wow okay. So Niemann-Shields-Price-Hellickson-Shields?
  12. Nothing about the Sox or baseball can cheer me up right now. The rest of my life is going to have to pick up that slack.
  13. If we're thinking about Spring Training predictions, the Diamondbacks have to be the most surprising team in the playoffs this year. The Brewers were the sexy pick for the NL Central, and for once the sexy pick paid off. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/2011_NLDS.gif http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/9d/Arizona_Diamondbacks_Logo.svg/201px-Arizona_Diamondbacks_Logo.svg.png v. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/11/Milwaukee_Brewers_Logo.svg/176px-Milwaukee_Brewers_Logo.svg.png Arizona Diamondbacks (94-68) at Milwaukee Brewers (96-66) Game Matchup Day Date Time TV Gm 1 ARI @ MIL Sat Oct 1 2:07 PM TBS Gm 2 ARI @ MIL Sun Oct 2 4:37 PM TBS Gm 3 MIL @ ARI Tue Oct 4 9:37 PM TBS Gm 4* MIL @ ARI Wed Oct 5 9:37 PM TBS Gm 5* ARI @ MIL Fri Oct 7 5:07 PM TBS Pitching Matchups: Ian Kennedy (21-4, 2.88 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) v. 14. Cardinals barely snuck into the playoffs with an amazing September comeback. As their reward, they face the juggernaut that is the Phillies. Seems like the 2011 Phillies were built for the postseason. We'll see. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/2011_NLDS.gif http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e6/St._Louis_Cardinals_Logo.svg/216px-St._Louis_Cardinals_Logo.svg.png v. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/84/Philadelphia_Phillies.svg/250px-Philadelphia_Phillies.svg.png St. Louis Cardinals (90-72) at Philadelphia Phillies (102-60) Game Matchup Day Date Time TV Gm 1 STL @ PHI Sat Oct 1 5:07 PM TBS Gm 2 STL @ PHI Sun Oct 2 8:07 PM TBS Gm 3 PHI @ STL Tue Oct 4 5:07 PM TBS Gm 4* PHI @ STL Wed Oct 5 6:07 PM TBS Gm 5* STL @ PHI Fri Oct 7 8:37 PM TBS Pitching Matchups: Kyle Lohse (14-8, 3.39 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) v. 15. This one is going to be hard to watch. These two teams played in the ALDS last year, and that series went the full five. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/72/2011_ALDS.gif http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/c6/Tampa_Bay_Rays.svg/250px-Tampa_Bay_Rays.svg.png v. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/41/Texas_Rangers.svg/250px-Texas_Rangers.svg.png Tampa Bay Rays (91-71) at Texas Rangers (96-66) Game Matchup Day Date Time TV Gm 1 TB @ TEX Fri Sep 30 5:07 PM TBS Gm 2 TB @ TEX Sat Oct 1 7:07 PM TBS Gm 3 TEX @ TB Mon Oct 3 5:07 PM TBS Gm 4* TEX @ TB Tue Oct 4 2:07 PM TBS Gm 5* TB @ TEX Thu Oct 6 5:07 PM TBS Pitching Matchups: Matt Moore (1-0, 2.89 ERA, 1.28 WHIP) v. 16. Well congratulations to the Yankees, the AL East winner and possessors of home-field in the first two rounds. And props to the Tigers on their first division victory since 1987. This should be a good series. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/72/2011_ALDS.gif http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e3/Detroit_Tigers_logo.svg/250px-Detroit_Tigers_logo.svg.png v. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/25/NewYorkYankees_PrimaryLogo.svg/300px-NewYorkYankees_PrimaryLogo.svg.png Detroit Tigers (95-67) at New York Yankees (97-65) Game Matchup Day Date Time TV Gm 1 DET @ NYY Fri Sep 30 8:37 PM TBS Gm 2 DET @ NYY Sat Oct 1 8:37 PM TBS Gm 3 NYY @ DET Mon Oct 3 8:37 PM TBS Gm 4* NYY @ DET Tue Oct 4 8:37 PM TBS Gm 5* DET @ NYY Thu Oct 6 8:37 PM TBS Pitching Matchups: Doug Fister (11-13, 2.83 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) v. 17. ^ Bush-league move by Reyes.
  18. I threw a no-hitter in little league when I was 9, can I start?
  19. One downside of none of the first round matchups being set yet, is that I can't make my playoff threads yet! So stressful, though I know you guys are on the edge of your seat for those bad boys.
  20. What a day of baseball. Tomorrow should be pretty crazy. Time to sack up, Lester.
  21. Echoing everyone else, those are awesome pictures. Love the one of the back of the scoreboard. What camera did you use?
